Kamisama homestay — Hotel in Pulau Bali

A cozy nice place with a clean pool. We stayed here a year ago. Perfect if you want to feel the vibe of a tropical island. But there are some things that could spoil your experience: the rooms aren't cleaned very thoroughly, which may attract rats and that is exactly what happened to our room - there was a rat in it, which most likely came in through the shower drain, and kept running and making noises at night. It was really disturbing and we couldn't really sleep properly most of the nights. At some point we even found its feces under the mattress of our bed. what happened next was even worse: it was our last night there, my boyfriend went to the bathroom to have a shower before going to bed and discovered a snake, which was trying to catch the rat; the snake must have got into through the small window; this was just horrible and we had to look for a room in a nearby hotel to spend the night. We explained the situation to the manager and he said that it's normal for wild animals to look for some shelter at homes during the wet season. He also put on some plastic net onto the wall of the house to protect it from snakes. That, I believe, was helpful. But the only thing he did about the rat was to give us a stone to put on the shower drain :D As you can imagine, that didn't work at all, of course: when we came back to the room after dinner the evening after to pack our things before going to the airport, the stone was moved aside and the shower drain was open so the rat must have got in again. It must have been relieved that the snake had gone and that it was protected from snakes from that moment on :D So, if you're not ready for a wonderful meeting with a rat or a snake, I suggest you look for accommodation elsewhere. That trip was our third holiday on the island and we had never experienced anything like that in any of the villas or rooms in similar hotels we'd rented before. We might have been the only ones that unlucky but I'm definitely not...

What a lovely place, everything was perfect! Location : Amazing! Less than 5 minutes walking distance and close to every restaurant, bar and shops in the area. Room : Clean, with a nice smell and very big. Toilets are nice too with a beautiful decorations. Another good point is that even though you are in one of the busiest areas of Canggu, you won’t be bothered by the noise of the traffic, that’s because the homestay is not located in the main road but in a small one where nobody drives through. Pool : Probably one of the cleanest pools that I’ve seen in Bali, clear water and big enough for more than 2 people at the same time. It is right in the center like most of the accomodation but somehow you still have your privacy as the place is very quiet. Staff : 10/10, super friendly and respectful, like the majority of Balinese people. We wanted to stay one more night but the place was fully booked already, we’ll definitely come back as this became our top...

Lovely place in the heart of Canggu, but still nice and quiet as is located in a secondary road. The place have just 8 rooms, with a beautiful and clean swimming pool, kitchen and lovely staff. We spent here just one night, but definitely next time in Bali we’ll book here for our whole stay. I highly recommend this place for people who wants to be in the centre of Canggu but still wants to have a nice and quiet accomodation....
