If you want to be greeted kindly and be able to talk to the owner or the staff this is NOT the place to stay. We checked out earlier. When we arrived we got shown to our room in total silence. The staff that meet us refered our questions to the owner that was no where to be found. We didn't get info about where the pool was, what kind of yoga classes there where or anything. We got information about breakfast only after we asked them.
The staff didn't make eye contact with us, never said hi and walked away from us when we tried to make contact. We where both polite and smiling to them. When we demand attention once they answered very short and then just walked away. Why this rude behavior? No idea! We tried to switch the mood with kindness but no result. Also they where in our room and turned of the AC while we took a quick dip in the pool. We where out for 5 minutes, so they definitely knew where we where and have their eye on us (not literally) but didn't bother to speak to us.
We figured out who the owner was but he never properly greeted us or toke anytime to inform us about the stay. Very odd and disrespectful behavior all through out the stay. We don't ask for much, they don't have to be super polite or make small talk but we would at least like to be looked at and greeted when we came and not to have people run away from us.
The bed smells sour, the quilt was dirty and the pillows smelled of old sweat. Don't think they wash these at all.
The bathroom was ok when we arrived but the morning after it was covered with feces from some animal. The shower will take you forever cause they water just seeps out.
We are super confused about the good reviews that other gave this place. Did they change owner and staff since the latest good reviews maybe?
So finally. Don't stay here. We have never been so disappointed in anywhere we have stayed in any country we visited. So there are far more better places in beautiful Ubud to stay. In all other places we stayed in Bali we been so kindly meet and have not had any discomfort with...
Read moreI firstly booked for one night at Putu Yoga Bungalows but decided to stay 4 more, until the end of my journey.
The location is amazing; in the middle of the Ricefields. Super quiet, surrounded by natural beauties, but at the same time close to everything because you just need to walk 10 minutes to find Main Road.
This place is super cute, lovely. You feel like you’re home. Rooms are great, colorful, super confortable, clean and bathrooms as well!
I stayed in a room which was made with all Bamboo, and it was really nice!
The view over there is absolutely AMAZING! I visited A LOT of places in Ubud, and it’s honestly one of the best places I discovered for the sunset!
Breakfast was delicious, Ja’an! A lot of choices, fresh locals fruits and delicious homemade food with an amazing view for Breakfast.
Just because we keep the best for last… The staff at Putu Yoga Bungalows is lovely !! They are really kind, helpful, concerned by you’re well-being and always available for you! They are really very caring. They helped me during a heavy rain to bring my huge 30 kilos backpack on Main Road because I was injured and by myself. Suksma one more time for everything! 🫶
I definitely recommend to go over there, to take some free time for you and to be in a peaceful and lovely place, with lovely people around you.
Thank you so much,...
Read moreI've found a new home in Bali !!” The place is located in the magically beautiful upper rice fields of Ubud and has an amazing expansive overlook of the river valley below. If you're into swimming and yoga, you've found the right place with so much more. Upon arrival I met Ashish, the talented owner who also teaches yoga and gives Vedic astrology readings. I was immediately taken into their family that includes their beautiful and sweet baby daughter...a real bonus. His very friendly Balinese wife is both a wonderful host and excellent cook who prepared yummy breakfasts. I stayed in one of their more rustic natural round bamboo bungalows with a very comfortable queen bed. Its the most quiet place at night I've been in all my travels and got the best sleep ever. If rustic is not your style, there are more modern rooms below the yoga studio that face the swimming pool and lush valley below. What's not to like here...well maybe the mosquitoes, but I even got used to them ! There are nice sitting areas outside all the rooms and facilities for cooking or food prep if desired. If you're more into feeling nature, relaxing and good family vibes...you would be...
