Cafe Pomegranate — Restaurant in Bali

You need a good stamina to reach this nice restaurant by walking. It's very far from Ubud main road, if you go by foot, maybe you'll hungry again when you walk back to the main road.....ideal for motorbike or bicycle....

Search for their website for a map, if you use car, you must search for the parking along the road, then you walk to the path near Pura Dalem or the sign of Abangan Bungalow. Don't worry, if you want go there easy, just hire an ojek, there's a small painter gallery at the path entrance, ask them to take you with their motorbike. It cost Rp 15.000,- for one way, ask their phone number, so if you finished your meal, you can call him to pick you back to the main road......

Once you reach the cafe, wow.....very nice view of the rice field. Sitting in the middle of rice field, feel the fresh air and breeze. Maybe before you go there, ask or call the management, is the paddy still grow or already harvested. The restaurant interior now growing old and rather dirty at the top, it's because they use only tent to make the roof, there's hole everywhere, so if rain fall, it'll pouring to inside, perhaps they should renew the tent....

The food is good, their famous pizza is the favorite menu, but sure you can choose another, there's plenty menu. The price is average (consider everything expensive in Bali now), the service is okay, could be better....

Just sit and enjoy the view, eat you meal slowly, drink slowly and....life so...

Trying to look for restaurant with great view in ubud, this come as one of the top suggestion from TripAdvisor. The place i must say, is not easy to be found. lucky us, we went with motorcycle, it goes to the road where only 1 motorcycle will fit not forgot to mention pedestrian that also crossing the road. for us the 1st timer to go there it's so hard to be found, it was night and dark. lucky us we found the place, have a nice night, nice meal and we just found out that they did not accept card, cash only. we did not have any money. Trying to send the money to one of the employee account but none of them have bank account. So my SO has to go outside find an ATM then come back while i wait. The food is amazing tho, it's a fusion restaurant so they have a japanese, balinese as well as western food. Definitely will come back at daylight since nothing you can see unless several fireflies flying...

Cafe Pomegranate it's a very nice place tucked in the rice fields, to arrive in the palace there is only a small path to follow, it's possible gi by motorbike but you have to go slow and be careful with the other scooter or pedestrian who will come from the opposite side, it's a gem in the area, very peaceful, you can have a drink and have food, the are it's perfect for a walking around, you can start from the Ubud Palace and arrive here avoiding the main road ( by walk ) . By motorbike you can access from the main road, but it's like a secret passage. The area it's surrounded by rice fields, yoga studio and other restaurants, one have their own hydroponic system and they have always fresh salads, you can stay and have a full relaxing time, read a book, watching sunset over the trees and the rice fields, watching the local kids...
