We stayed at Raditya for several days and overall it was nice. Good value for the money, nice views, nice bed, good breakfast.
Other observations:
avoid the 2 houses on either side of the main entrance as it’s quite loud and the staff is very loud early in the morning. despite the amazing views of the rice field, there is a chicken coop right next to the pool (over the fence, not visible) and every once in a while the stench of chicken s**t washes the villas. the prices for the drinks in the fridge are very good! miles away from the main road and it is not accessible by car. Despite this, the very friendly staff picked up our luggage from the main road and also offered transport on scooters for check-in and check-out. It is located at 20 min walk from the main road, uphill, on a narrow path full of scooters. Putting this aside, it is an amazing walk. the owner offered to drive us (for a cost) to the coffee plantation and on our way back when we took a cab we discovered that he overcharged us 3 times the amount! we booked the Mt Batur tour with them which was slightly overpriced again (500k idr/person - cab charges appx 350-400) and some of the things on the poster at the entrance didn’t apply or were ridiculous i.e. the breakfast the bed was super comfy but very hard (if one doesn’t like it). bathroom sink got clogged and started leaking the day we left pool is with normal tap water room quite noisy with the water pump (very loud) activating every time the water was used and persisting for some time after shutting it off.
All in all we wouldn’t stay there again due to the location and some other factors but if you ar not dust about noise and walking for 20 min down to the road and 20 min uphill go for it.
All in all we had a good time here and we would recommend stays here if you are up for the hike to the...
Read moreThe stay was incredible. Firstly, the hosts were very helpful in arranging airport pick-up for a reasonable price. I don't think I would have worked out to how to get to the accommodation otherwise. The room was spacious, welcoming, clean and had everything we could need. When we woke up the first morning we gasped at the sensational view. Rice paddy fields and greenery for miles! The view was really something else and wonderful to enjoy from our balcony with breakfast each morning. The pool area was just below our balcony and like a little oasis. The rest of the property was stunning. The location was great! About a 15 minute walk into central bustling Ubud. This was perfect as it meant we were in the tranquillity of the rice paddy fields that has cafes, yoga studios and restaurants all along the main trail before you get into central Ubud. The hosts were the most helpful! They organised mountain treks, cooking classes and also transport following our stay. Their help and service was priceless. I would highly...
