Indian Delites in Ubud stands out as a gem for those seeking authentic Indian vegetarian cuisine in Bali. From the moment we stepped in, we were enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complemented the culinary experience that awaited us.

Food: The food at Indian Delites is nothing short of spectacular. Each vegetarian dish is a testament to the rich and diverse flavors of Indian cuisine. The spices are expertly balanced, and the ingredients are fresh and vibrant. We indulged in a variety of dishes, each one bursting with authenticity and taste. The Bhel Puri was a delightful mix of tangy and spicy flavors, the Veg Manchurian was perfectly crispy with a savory sauce, the Veg Biryani was fragrant and flavorful, and the Veg Steamed Momos were tender and delicious. Every bite transported us back to the streets of India, making it a truly memorable dining experience.

Atmosphere: The atmosphere at Indian Delites is both elegant and cozy. The decor is thoughtfully designed, with elements that reflect the rich cultural heritage of India. Soft lighting and comfortable seating create an ambiance that is perfect for both intimate dinners and family gatherings. The soothing background music further enhances the dining experience, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy a meal.

Service: The service at Indian Delites is exemplary. The staff are attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They went out of their way to ensure that we had a wonderful dining experience, providing excellent recommendations and accommodating our dietary preferences with ease. Their genuine hospitality made us feel welcome and valued throughout our visit.

In conclusion, Indian Delites in Ubud is a must-visit for anyone in Bali craving authentic Indian vegetarian food. The combination of exceptional food, delightful atmosphere, and top-notch service makes it a standout choice. We left the restaurant with satisfied palates and fond memories, eager to return on our next...

I recently dined at an Indian restaurant and had a somewhat average experience. While there were aspects that I appreciated, there were also some disappointments. Here's my review:

Let's start with the positive aspects. The staff at the restaurant were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. They were attentive, accommodating, and willing to answer any questions we had about the menu or the dishes. Their service added a pleasant touch to the overall dining experience.

Regarding the food, I must admit that my expectations were not fully met. While the dishes were decent, I was hoping for a more exceptional taste that would truly transport me to the flavors of India. The flavors were somewhat lacking in depth and didn't quite reach the level of authenticity I had anticipated. However, it's important to note that taste preferences can vary, and what might be "okay" for me may be enjoyable for others.

Another minor disappointment was the size of the naan bread. I found them to be on the smaller side, which left me wanting more. I believe larger portions of naan would have complemented the dishes better and enhanced the overall dining experience.

One aspect that left a sour taste in my mouth was the unexpected addition of a 15% tax and service charge on top of our bill. Typically, I am not fond of places that implement additional charges, but in this case, it was even more frustrating because the charges were not clearly displayed on the menu. Transparency in pricing is crucial, and I would have appreciated being informed of these extra costs upfront.

While my experience at this Indian restaurant was average overall, there are areas that could be improved to provide a more satisfying dining experience. Enhancing the flavors of the dishes, offering larger portions of naan, and clearly displaying any additional charges would greatly contribute to a more enjoyable visit...

Food: Food was okay. Dal Tadka tasted bland and a little burnt. We were asked if we wanted the food spicy medium or mild, we said spicy, but it wasn't at all spicy. Paneer, yoghurt and chapati were good. Masala Chai really didn't seem to have any masala in it at all. The Kulfi is clearly made with condensed milk, was too sweet, not enough spices and was a bit icy. Had way better Dal and Masala Chai elsewhere in Ubud for cheaper price.

Service: We weren't offered water at all, when the waited came I asked for water and he didn't understand, he got another server to come who said 'sorry we only serve bottled water', then turned away before I could order it, they also clearly had a water dispenser in the bar. It was very hard grab the attention of the waiters as they were very busy with a big table downstairs and in other areas of the restaurant even after making direct eye contact with the waiters they failed to come over several times, at one point we waited 10 mins just sitting there. Felt neglected.

Atmosphere and cleanliness: The restaurant is relatively clean, but when we sat down there were dead insects on the table so we moved. The staff kept leaving the front door open adding to the background noise in the restaurant. The decor is quite dated and a bit neglected, bar counter is damaged. The front steps have broken tiles which are a real hazard, one fell as my husband walked out of the restaurant.

Summary: My husband and I had better Indian food at multiple places for a more affordable price in Ubud. We came here expecting something better at a premium price, but the food and service was just adequate. You could have a better meal at a warung for 50%...

If you're craving authentic Indian cuisine in Bali, Indian Delites is a must-visit! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance transported us straight to India with its warm decor and inviting atmosphere. We were served by Nety, whose exceptional service truly elevated our dining experience. Nety was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great suggestions that suited our preferences perfectly. The highlight of our meal was the Butter Chicken—rich, creamy, and bursting with flavors that paired perfectly with their freshly baked garlic naan. The Chicken Biryani was another standout, with its fragrant spices and tender pieces of chicken. Every dish was a perfect blend of authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. The portions were generous, and the presentation was exquisite. Nety ensured we felt welcomed and well-cared for throughout our meal, making it a memorable dining experience. If you're in Ubud and looking for an Indian restaurant with fantastic food and top-notch service, Indian Delites is the place to go!

I have eaten here twice and I’ll be back again. Lovely decor, great view from the outdoor spaces on the balconies. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I ordered the vindaloo ( spicy) and it was the best vindaloo I ever had. Yes it was spicy but not the kind that burns your mouth. This was very very tasty. Fabulous 😊 My friend had the Kerala Curry which was wonderful. It was fruity, spicy and aromatic all in one. Wonderful 😊 The starter was worthy of mention as it was outstanding. Palak Patta Chaat is a gorgeous starter and impossible to describe adequately. So I suggest you give it a try. The prices here are really good for such wonderful food. Finally I have to mention Julie, our lovely waitress who made the entire experience more memorable, thank you. 🙏
