Number of stay: 5 nights and 6 days Pax: couple Room: private villa with private pool in a gated space Cost: not worth it, better to choose cheaper hotel room elsewhere Room size: villa with 2 bedrooms is perfect for family of 4
Villa review: Even the villa is giving us a private space, we experienced lot of inconvenient that made our vocation horrible.
The receptionist gives us a tour to our private villa. It has 2 separate rooms but we need to choice which one we gonna stay. During the tour, I noticed the water coming from the side sliding door, and he said it’s from the heavy rain. I told him to fix and the other staff dry the floor.
Open space T/B: They provide shampoo, shower gel and conditioner, dental kit etc. it’s cool too see an open space shower (plants everywhere) but at night, it’s super dark, scary and lot of snail everywhere. If you have phobia with snails, don’t stay here. Shower rod is rusty. I tried to hang my bath towel on the rod but the moment the towel touch the rod the rust already transferred to the towel.
Cleanliness: When we arrived: the room is not clean. (Stain on the floor, spider web in the chandelier and fill off paint on the wall)
WIFI- When we are already settle, the WIFI doesn’t work. The WIFI connection becomes unstable (ON and OFF). We asked the night shift receptionist to fix it and he said the maintenance will fix it in the morning. In the next morning, the WIFI works however during our stay it keep stopping. (Hit and miss). We can’t even play YouTube or browse our Facebook.
Food(included): The food is ok, but if I need to pay that food with extra cost I will not buy it. It’s better to buy breakfast from restaurant nearby. The juice glass is so dirty. I never drink my pineapple juice. They have free drinks (soda and bottle water except beer) and fruits.
Tea time(included): not worth it to try
Water Supply: after a long day exploring the area, we came back to our hotel without water supply (night time). We asked the receptionist, and told us the plumber will fix it next morning. Next morning, we got water however when I came back (after lunch), there is no water again.
Fogging (every day 430 to 5pm)- if good for us because of all the mosquitoes however it’s inconvenient too. We need to go out during fogging because of the smell and we need to turn off the AC. The receptionist mentioned that you can stay inside the room during fogging just turn off the AC. We tried that before option but the smells is too strong( we’re not doing that again).
Lights: the gate in our villa is hard to closed and lock and when we are trying to lock it at night, it super hard because there is no light above the gate. (Traditional key).
Pool: perfect size but not enough lights. We experienced heavy rain that makes our pool loaded with leaves and dirt at the bottom. I told them to clean it, but they never did.
Location: location is perfect. Walking distance to everything (shops, restaurants, bar, convenient stores, and beach). It is few minutes walk going to Potato Head Beach CLub and Mrs Sippy.
Note: if you have a phobia with snail, don’t stay here. You can see the snails from the parking lot all the way to your open shower and tub at your villa. i don’t recommend this villa. If your concern is just privacy this is the best space for you but if you want convenience and amazing vacation, try different hotel/ resort that worth it and will not give a headache. If you are working online while traveling, this is not the place for you. This villa is not worth it...

Booked Buah Bali Villas for 5 nights on Booking.com. We paid $180 a night with a free breakfast. Upon check in, Ali explained all the amenities and rules of the villa. We were only a couple but we were upgraded to Villa 2 which is a 2 bedroom villa with a large amount of space to hang out in. This villa is perfect for a family or group.
PROS: Room was average with good AC, strong hot water shower (when working) and complimentary drinks (not alcohol) in the fridge. TV had many channels but we did not watch much TV. Afternoon tea time was free with coffee and pastries and was ok. Pool was small but very refreshing after a nice walk in the town at the end of the day. They did fogging every day at 430pm, we did see some mosquitoes buzzing around but since these villas are in a tropical setting that is to be expected. They provided repellant lotions and burning coils to reduce the insects. Staff was very friendly especially Weeda and Ida which was a huge bonus and they always addressed our concerns we had. Ali even recommended BIKU, a nice local Bali restaurant (5 minute walk) that is a must visit, we loved it there so much we went back one more time. MUST DO! Potato Head Beach Club is a 10 minute walk from the Villas which is very convenient and another must do visit in Seminyak. Free airport shuttle which we used when checking out of the hotel for our 830am flight back home. The driver (forgot his name) he was very nice.
CONS: Off and on spotty and slow buffering Wi-Fi especially at night. The first night the Wi-Fi went out and we had to connect to the next doors villa router. The router is outside by the door and exposed to the wind and rain that happens a lot. This is not good for people like us who had to do some work once in a while. One night after getting home around 9pm there was no water to take a shower. Staff said the water tank was refilling which is surprising because its low season and really no one staying at the villas Our villa water cooler stopped working but they quickly fixed it. Breakfast was free but average. Have to preorder the night before and let them know what time to bring it. We did 9am which was good for us. As many have said in previous reviews, it does get dark within the walls, there are lights but it is dark. No major complaints just the small issues that could have made our stay at the Buah Bali Villas much better. The Japanese owner who was very nice did apologize for these issues which we respected. Overall, we felt we paid too much money for 5 nights. We know now we could have stayed somewhere else in the area for a lower price. The owner need to invest some money to improve these villas, especially in the Wi-Fi area, my wife and I were disappointed. I would not recommend this place only 3 stars in my opinion.. Could...
