Villa Romantica — Hotel in Pulau Bali

We stayed there for 5 nights in late June/early July 2024. The best part of the villa is the location. It's surrounded by many nice restaurants and it's not far from central Ubud by car. It's a quiet neighborhood and we liked it with 2 kids. The villa is clean, although the pool is not. Housekeeping tried to clean it but it didn't help much. Also note that there's no onsite manager there, so make sure you contacted them and let them know when you'd arrive for check-in. We didn't and learnt it the hard way. We called the number located on the front door, and waited about 45 mins for the manager to arrive and let us in. I think if we contacted them in advance, it could have been avoided. The villa is fully open, except for the two bedrooms. Therefore there will be bugs everywhere. We didn't mind it at all but wanted to mention it. Located just 3 minutes walking distance from Car drop point.This is one beautiful villa with a personal pool, lots of sitting places to relax and play. It's surrounded by rice fields and has an outer sit out to enjoy the fields view. There are many restuarants nearby. Even the villa cleaner come cook was very nice. The villa's hygiene was far below standard. Our room had a pest problem, with ants and geckos present, and we discovered their excrement on the bedding. We brought this serious issue to the manager's attention, but were disappointed that he declined to offer any compensation for the inconvenience caused.
