Wow, what can I say? Only four nights into my trip, and I'm so glad I chose the W for the third time. Everything about this hotel is amazing. You turn from the madness of Seminyak and the vibrant streets into a tranquil oasis through a bamboo tree-lined street.

The incredible hotel staff greet you with huge smiles, and from that moment, you know you'll be looked after to the highest standards. After a 26-hour journey (with a delayed second leg flight), the warm and engaging staff gave a truly a wholesome welcome.

While everyone I've met so far has gone above and beyond, special shout-outs to Dewa and Veve, who helped with my booking and check-in, and Yoga, who personally greeted me and has been a godsend for helping out on many topics and making my stay as restful as possible.

Not to forget the wonderful housekeeping staff: Adi Santosa, who turned my chaotic unpacking into an organized delight 😊, and Suparta, who goes the extra mile and gave me a bookmark after noticing I was folding the page and other small thoughtful items. You all really make the experience!

The room (apologies for the pics, I probably should have waited for a fresh housekeeping service, but keeping it real, I guess). This was one of the reasons I picked the W over the other famous next-door hotel. I've visited before, and this isn't a criticism of Potato as it's also a wonderful hotel, but the rooms at a similar price point when I booked were on the smaller side. As I'm digital nomading a little before the holiday starts, space was more important to me. Even if the rooms were a similar size, I think the W wins out for me personally, and again, that ocean view 😊.

Don't skip breakfast at Starfish Bloo, one of two options. My personal favorite due to the ocean view (I can't shout out more about the ocean view). It has a huge selection to choose from, and you can also order à la carte. Standouts for me are the Enter the Dragon (not a smoothie but a wonderful bowl of happiness), Eggs Benny (ask for two portions 😉), and Omelette (attached some of my amateur pics). Don't forget the amazing Sunday brunch at the same restaurant for a food feast!

The pool area is so photogenic, but it also lives up to its real-life charm! It really delivers, and the staff are attentive and friendly. Try to get a bed that faces the ocean—the rice paddy-esque style pool with the ocean view is a double wow. Don't forget to try the famous pink coconuts, especially for those Insta fans (maybe I am showing my age and should put TikTok) haha. For me, this is a complete 5-star review, but I wanted to share some elements that, while they don't personally impact me, could be something for someone to consider.

Woo Bar and Potato beach clubs—on the weekend, the music and bass can be very loud until midnight. Thankfully, nothing crazy during the week, so don't choose the ocean-facing rooms if you plan to be in your room at that time or use some earplugs (I think they used to give these out, but I haven't seen them this trip). They have some amazing villas and garden-facing rooms where I imagine the noise would be much less or not at all.

The sea—it's not a stretch of beach that I would advise swimming in. The waves are a little on the crazy side. I personally lost a pair of sunglasses (new, of course haha) to an unexpectedly high wave. However, there are some calmer spots walking down the beach. It's okay to dip your feet in near the hotel, but be aware! In the short time I've been here, I've seen an unexpectedly high wave drench the poor...

We travel quite extensively and this being our 3rd visit to Bali, we concluded that the quality and personalised service received at W Bali was the best we have had in all of our travel experiences!

From the time we arrived, we have been greeted by passionate and dedicated talents who were all out to ensure we enjoyed only the best. It didn’t take long for them to remember our names which made us felt at home and they absolutely put their heart and soul in making our vacation a truly extraordinary one. Throughout our stay, there were many sweet surprises such as handwritten notes, snacks and gifts by the housekeeping, front office and F&B team. We booked W Bali knowing that it may be a ‘partying’ resort, little did we know that it was such a family/kid-friendly resort too, and all the service staffs took great care of us especially our little one!

We chose to have our daily breakfast at Starfish Bloo as we get a good ocean view from there. Apart from the sumptuous buffet spread, there was also an extensive ala-carte menu with many healthy food/drink options to choose from. We particularly enjoyed their smoothies, booster shots, fresh juices and fruits. Not to forget their southern style fried chicken with waffles! We also tried their dinner at Starfish Bloo and Fire, and it was delectable so was the food presentation. We truly enjoyed our dinner, thanks to all from the F&B team including Chef Louis for their impeccable service!

One evening, the aircon in our villa broke down but we decided to stay put as my family has turned in for the night. The team assured us that a backup room is available should we need to move in the middle of the night. True enough, it got warm at midnight and the buggy arrived within minutes upon our call to send us to another villa. Upon arrival, we were greeted by another crew who then brought us into the villa and boy, it was cool and ready for us to continue our sleep right away. The service recovery and follow-ups by the entire team was so seamless and professional that it didn’t felt like there was any glitch at all.

Honestly, it was hard to say goodbye at departure day. The sweetest last thing the team could do for us was to pack some water and power balls (chocolates) for us to take away on our way to the airport. All in all, W Bali is a luxurious resort and the service from their staffs is truly one-of-a-kind which makes it stands out from the rest. They are a gem and truly the assets to the resort, please take good care of them!! :) We would like to give our heartfelt thank you to all the talents who made our stay so memorable and unforgettable, especially to Denta, Ayu, Ella, Julians, Ardika, Kenzy, Ade and the many others (sorry we forgot most of their names but many from F&B)! We hope to be...

During my recent stay at W Bali – Seminyak, I was delighted to receive a complimentary upgrade to the Marvellous One-Bedroom Villa with Private Pool, thanks to my Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite status. This villa, spanning approximately 225 square meters, offers an expansive outdoor area featuring a private plunge pool, sun loungers, and a cozy cabana with a daybed. The lush greenery surrounding the villa enhances the sense of seclusion and tranquility, creating a perfect private oasis.

The interior of the villa is thoughtfully designed, seamlessly blending W Hotels’ signature modern aesthetics with Balinese elements. The spacious bedroom, equipped with a plush king-size bed, faces the pool, allowing for serene morning views. Adjacent to the bedroom is a cozy living area furnished with a comfortable sofa and a 40-inch TV that can be swiveled towards the bed for versatile viewing. The W MixBar offers a selection of snacks and beverages, and the Bose sound system ensures high-quality audio entertainment throughout the villa.

The bathroom is a highlight, featuring a large freestanding bathtub, a separate rain shower, and an open wardrobe space. The design emphasizes openness and luxury, providing a spa-like experience within the comfort of the villa.

One of the standout features of W Bali – Seminyak is its direct access to a private beach. Unlike many properties in the area, guests can easily transition from the resort’s amenities to the serene beachfront, offering a seamless blend of luxury and nature.

Breakfast at the resort is an experience in itself. Served at Starfish Bloo, the morning meal includes a diverse buffet complemented by an à la carte menu. The buffet offers a wide range of options, from freshly baked pastries to sushi and dim sum. The à la carte menu features both Western and Asian dishes, such as steak and mushrooms, chicken and waffles, and local specialties like mie goreng. Enjoying a high-quality breakfast under the clear blue sky, with the gentle ocean breeze, was truly a delightful way to start the day.

The resort effortlessly combines the energetic vibe characteristic of W Hotels with the peaceful ambiance of Bali. During the day, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing, ideal for lounging by the pool or unwinding in the privacy of the villa. As evening approaches, venues like WooBar come alive, offering vibrant nightlife options without compromising the resort’s sophisticated charm.

In conclusion, my stay at W Bali – Seminyak was exceptional. The thoughtful integration of modern luxury with Balinese serenity, the attentive service, and the well-appointed amenities made for an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a luxurious yet tranquil...

I highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a luxurious yet tranquil retreat in Bali.
