I had the worst service of my life at this place. We were staying at this hotel and, after a late check-in, we went to a different seafood restaurant within the hotel for dinner before coming here. We waited for a long time with our menus closed, ready to order, but despite not being busy, the female staff member and a woman who seemed to be a manager in plain clothes ignored us, chatting away and telling us to wait. After the long wait, when it was finally time to order, I asked if the beer I wanted was draft beer. However, while I was still speaking, the staff member left without any explanation and never returned. When I explained that I was in the middle of ordering, she took the rest of the order without any apology. Additionally, the manager in plain clothes did not offer us water until we specifically requested it, while she was providing service only to a nearby table of Westerners. She continuously refilled their water and circled around, checking if they needed anything else. Even when we wanted to place additional orders, they completely ignored us, despite our attempts to get their attention. While the service from other staff members was excellent, these two individuals completely ruined our experience that day. To make matters worse, this happened on the day of our check-in, making us regret choosing this hotel. This was our first trip to Bali, and we spent our entire time in Seminyak within the hotel, making this our first experience at an Indonesian restaurant as well. It was truly disappointing, and if I could turn back time, I wouldn't visit again.😡😡

Best dinner in Seminyak!! From the moment we arrived at Kaum, we knew we were in for an amazing meal - from the gorgeous views of the ocean and desa potatohead, enticing aromas of smoky satay and sambal, to the welcoming smiles of each and every staff member, the hospitality could not be faulted. Compared to the crowds and high energy music downstairs, Kaum was like a little hidden oasis where you could sit and relax, while watching the party go on. The food offering was diverse and catered to a variety of tastes and dietary requirements. This meal was hands down the best meal we had in Seminyak. Their must order pork belly sate was a feast for the senses and did not disappoint. The barramundi was flavourful and paired well with the sambal matah. Even the coconut rice was fragrant and came in the cutest weaved basket. Prices are extremely reasonable given the location, quality of food and generous portion sizes. A must visit if you visit Seminyak! Our favourites: 1. Babi Genyol Fried pork cheek small plate 2. Safe Babi Kecap pork belly large plate 10/10!!! 3. Terong balado Teri eggplant paired perfectly with rice 4. Kacang Mete Karamel dessert ice cream was so creamy and paired with the nutty tart reminded me of an elevated Christmas mince pie. Not too sweet! A special thank you to Coki and Manish for making us feel like VIPs and making my birthday dinner extra special.

Initially, it was challenging to make a reservation, so we decided to walk in, and we were fortunate to secure an outdoor seat for a sunset view. The restaurant offers local dishes from different regions of Indonesia, including Bali, all made with native ingredients. It's a shame that I was too full to try everything on the menu. My top recommendations are: 1. Sate Babi Kecap (Bali) - excellent flavour, with lean meat that's tender and fats that melt in your mouth. 2. Babi Genyol (Bali) - the fried pork cheek is incredibly flavourful. The taste is elevated with the accompanying sauce. 3. Ikan Barramundi Bakar Sambal Dabu Dabu (North Sulawesi) - the fish is fresh, tender, and perfectly cooked. I suggest eating the fish first before the other dishes so that the spices from the other dishes don't overpower it. I also tried: 1. Batagor (West Java) - prawn and fish dumplings served with cashew nut sauce. Personally, I found it a bit too salty for my liking. 2. Gulai Ayam Hitam (West Sumatra) - the black curry was recommended, but I wasn't sure how to appreciate its unique flavour. The restaurant also offers a pretty good range of cocktails, and I highly recommend the Rempah Pala.

I recently visited Kaum Bali Food Restaurant, and I must say that my dining experience there was absolutely wonderful. Everything made me feel comfortable and impressed, from the beautiful ambiance to the delicious dishes.

First of all, the ambiance of this restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The interior design of the restaurant combines a modern touch with a traditional feel that is very charming. The decor is elegant, with soft lighting and neatly placed tables. I felt like I was in a luxurious place that was very cozy.

When it came to the food, the restaurant really didn't disappoint. I ordered a few signature dishes, and they were all excellent. The flavors of the food were very authentic, exuding the deliciousness and uniqueness of traditional recipes. From appetizers to desserts, everything was beautifully presented and presented with great detail. The taste is indeed unforgettable!

The service at Kaum Bali Authentic Food Restaurant also deserves a thumbs up. The waiters were very friendly and knowledgeable, they were happy to answer all my questions about the menu and make appropriate recommendations. They were attentive to customers' needs and preferences, making me feel appreciated and cared for.

In addition, the restaurant is also equipped with comfortable facilities. The space is spacious, with tables far enough away from each other for privacy. Soft background music creates a relaxing atmosphere, and the restrooms are clean and well-maintained. Everything is designed to provide maximum comfort to the diners.

Overall, Kaum Bali Food Restaurant is a highly recommended place for authentic food lovers. The beautiful and luxurious ambiance, delicious and authentic dishes, friendly service, and comfortable facilities all combine perfectly to create an unforgettable dining experience. I will definitely be back again to savor more tantalizing dishes at...

We visited this restaurant last Tuesday after reading some great reviews. We started by having a drink at the beach bar and then went up to the restaurant.

Our first impression was that the restaurant looked very nice and the staff were friendly. We sat and looked at the menu which was explained to us by the waiter. I particularly liked how he told us roughly how much to order between the two of us.

When we ordered our food the waiter told me that one of my dishes was spicy. I asked him how spicy it was and he replied ‘medium.’ I must warn everyone planning on visiting this restaurant, ‘medium’ in this restaurant is what the rest of the world would class as ‘very hot!’ After we ordered the manager came over and welcomed us and spoke to us about Indonesian cuisine. He mentioned that most tourists suffer with stomach bugs after eating Indonesian food due to the spice. My guess is because his staff are telling diners that their food is of a medium heat when in truth, their food is ridiculously spicy. Needless to say, I spent the next few days with stomach issues which I put solely down to the food of this restaurant.

On to the service, the staff were all very friendly and welcoming and checked on us throughout. One thing that I would say is that we had 4 different people ask us if our food was ok. I understand that people are big on service in Bali but this is a bit much. We also had a very chatty waiter who chatted to us while placing our food on the table, then continued to talk for a further 3/4 mins after he served us our food. This made us feel quite uncomfortable.

Finally, on a positive note, we were in Bali for our honeymoon and we mentioned this to the waiter. The waiter organised for a small dessert to be brought out for us which was very nice.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Bali unless they have a stomach...
