B&B A Casa delle Fate — Hotel in Assisi

It is on a very busy street with lots of pedestrian traffic and automobile traffic. Bedrooms were very noisy and tiny. Check-in was difficult since no one spoke much English. So we didn't know that we had to turn on the hot water. There were NO toiletries so I had to buy them. The wifi didn't work, which would normally be fine since we wanted to decompress, but in this case my children were unable to submit their schoolwork. Breakfast was horrible, so I went to buy eggs but the stove had no gas so I couldn't cook them. I paid an additional 30 euros per day for breakfast, which consisted of one slice of pineapple, a small bowl of plain/sour yogurt, a piece of bread (from the grocery store) and a strange apple/pear juice. The next day was the same but without pineapple. I went to discuss my concerns with the woman at check-in and she became belligerent and hostile. She told me to get out. I went to a nearby cafe with wifi to book a new room and we checked out. While I was at the cafe, the woman in charge of breakfast barged into the apartment and yelled at my teenage daughter, and brought us cake (WHAT?). When I emailed the property manager to reiterate my feelings, I said that if they refunded my final night I would not leave a negative review. The response was that I threatened them by demanding my money back. They also said that I physically "kicked out" the breakfast woman from the property, and that I had more guests than I declared on my reservation. None of this is true. And then a few hours later they sent me a message asking what time I would like breakfast the next day. I was so offended and confused! This became a complete nightmare. Stay far away from...

La precisione nella pulizia della camera, del bagno e della struttura è innegabile e meriterebbe senza dubbio un punteggio di 5 stelle.

Tuttavia, prima del mio soggiorno, durante una chiamata per informazioni sul check-in, la proprietaria ha espresso apertamente la sua avversione nei confronti degli italiani, definendoli “i peggiori, a cui se potessi non permetterei di soggiornare qui”. Questa inaccettabile affermazione non può passare inosservata e influenza la mia recensione a 4 stelle.

Prima del mio arrivo ricevo ben 5 e-mail di istruzioni dalla struttura, con lo stesso zelante tono della telefonata. Mi colpisce in particolare una e-mail riguardo le indicazioni di parcheggio con la frase “fate come volete ma poi non dite che non ve l’avevamo detto”. Un atteggiamento poco accogliente che contribuisce a una valutazione di 3 stelle.

La stanza è sovraffollata di suppellettili, tanto da impedire l'uso funzionale dei mobili. È praticamente impossibile appoggiare un libro, un portatile o persino un piccolo beauty, né sulla scrivania né sul comó. Decorazioni con "istruzioni" e "moniti" in lingua italiana pervadono lo spazio, trasmettendo chiaramente un'atmosfera che favorisce gli stranieri.

Il tavolo destinato alla colazione è affollato di oggetti, rendendo difficile trovare spazio per le chiavi della camera, un cellulare o un tovagliolo. Provare a spalmare la marmellata su una fetta di pane è un compito scomodo e, sinceramente, esasperante. La chiave del portone è legata a un lucchetto che, in caso di due ospiti nella stanza, può creare situazioni poco piacevoli. Inoltre, il telecomando per l'aria condizionata è misteriosamente assente.

Inconvenienti apparentemente trascurabili, ma che accumulati contribuiscono a una valutazione di 2 stelle.

La mia sorpresa si è trasformata in preoccupazione quando ho notato l'assenza del kit di pronto soccorso, obbligatorio per legge in Umbria per le strutture ricettive. In seguito a un piccolo incidente durante il mio soggiorno, ho fatto richiesta del kit tramite messaggio. Tuttavia, la proprietaria non ha risposto, e la collaboratrice, nel cercare invano la cassetta, mi ha informato che la struttura non ne dispone. Questo fatto critico riduce drasticamente la mia valutazione a 1 stella.

Notando con interesse la dedizione della proprietaria a rispondere a tutte le recensioni con enfasi e toni litigiosi, spero sinceramente che possa investire altrettanta energia nell'adempimento delle norme di sicurezza. Provvedere a una cassetta di pronto soccorso prima che una segnalazione giunga agli uffici competenti, come l'ufficio di Igiene e Sanità Pubblica Assisano e l'Ufficio del Turismo, sarebbe un passo positivo. Agire in tal senso garantirebbe un'accoglienza più sicura e potrebbe ricevere apprezzamenti da parte dei futuri clienti.

Poi non mi dica che non gliel’avevano detto.

Questa risposta è agghiacciante e lei come persona mi spaventa. Trovo di una gravità inaudita che risponda con una filastrocca dove mi prende in giro. Io mi sono ferita nella sua struttura, le ho mandato un whatsapp al quale lei non ha MAI risposto neanche dopo giorni, non si è mai presentata ed io non ho idea di chi lei sia di persona, e in struttura non c’è la cassetta del pronto soccorso che è obbligatoria per legge. Highly recommend Casa Delle Fate. Close to S. Francis Basilica. Actually is close to everything and the walks get you fit! They offer a selection of rooms. Ours was the single beds with our own bathroom downstairs. Everything was fresh clean and comfortable. Breakfast and service was great. Highly recommend Rocca Maggiore and the walk via S.Franks down to S.Croce. 4k round trip through the forest. ||To get to Casa, get the orange bus at the train station - tickets v cheap. Get off at the very top - Piazza Matteotti, then ask where the small orange bus connects. This smaller bus runs around the historical top of the hill. It stops close to the BnB. Get off the small bus at via Metastasio and walk down hill with the BnB on your right or next stop at S. Giacomo and walk uphill to the BnB on your left. Really short walk either way.
