This hotel has a great location as it is walking distance to all main hallmarks of Assisi, however the magic was soon demolished by the horrific customer service provided by Tiziana, I was checking out and she wanted to double charge me for a lunch already paid, I had to show her my bank statement via my bank application to avoid a second transaction, how she handled the situation was pitiful, and made that experience so nasty that never coming back here. Always keep your receipts because if you run into her you better have ready a prove of all payments, she is rude and lack of manners, when I called an hour later to get her name a man named Giuseppe picked up the phone and when I asked who runs this restaurant to express my disapproval on how the’re managing clients accounts he was hesitant to provide any information, first he said that Elena is the boss, then changed the name for Manuala, when I asked for a contact # to communicate with one of those names mentioned, he refused and finished the call, when I call back he kept||Doing the same blaming it all on bad connection. Very rude person, sadly! The behavior of these two Giuseppe and Tiziana needs serious attention, the way they treat guests is very poor, classless, and...
Read moreDon't be deceived by the website photos and Michelin-starred restaurant. The hotel is in serious need of a renovation and the restaurant was not opened when we were there. When we checked in, the room was dirty. Bathroom had mould growing and the toilet was not flushed!! When we requested to change rooms, we were told that no rooms were available. We were only there for 1 night, so we decided to rough it out. Might have been a better decision to check out cos we spotted insects crawling out of the woodwork late in the night! We checked out immediately when the sun rose!||That said, the hotel is in a great location. Being in the middle of the historic centre means that all the sites are within walking distance. The view from the hotel is also amazing, although you don't have to stay in the hotel to enjoy the view. If you're driving, do note that there is limited parking in front of the hotel but there is paid parking within walking distance.||Definitely not 4-star as advertised. Closer to 2-star. Would give it 1-star if not for...
Read moreI would really like to give this hotel a higher rating. It's centrally located, just a few minutes walk to St Francis Basilica and many great restaurants. Rooms are comfortable with great views for those on the valley side. There's a very ample breakfast served in a very friendly and attentive manner by Daniela. The rest of the staff was also friendly and helpful. Assisi is a good base to visit other towns in Umbria, especially if you're lucky enough to get a great guide like Daniela Moretti (danyguide.com) who opened our minds and our hearts to this extraordinary part of Italy. Now the reason for the lower rating: they overcharged us significantly and it has been taking too long to rectify. Emails back and forth; promises made; no action. I'll revisit this review if the issue is resolved. But if you do stay here, be very careful when you receive the bill and examine it carefully. I wish I...
