La Volta Antica — Restaurant in Assisi

I really had the worst expreience ever in this restaurant.

We came in and dindn't get a table for all 10 of us, and had to split.

The waitress and the boss were constantly sighing, meanmugging and being very disrespectful.

Two of us got our pasta 1 hour before the others were served, what lead to cold pasta and we were even finished and our plates taken away long before the others got served.

4 of the 10 clients got their food after more than one hour

You pay 2.5 euro for service each, but they forget what you have ordered, give you wrong plates and wrong drinks. They also NEVER do not apologise and have an angry face.

The pasta carbonara was disgusting. Undercooked, sticky and without sauce (for a carbonara) it was also way too little for 15 euros.

As a foreigner and student I really felt discriminated, as they smiled to other Italians and were very gentle with them. Italians that arrived after us were served before us while arriving after. I felt attacked by the agressive looks of the personal.

Tje only positive point is the littke reduction we got at the end (after negociating for 30 minutes)

Discreto ristorante, avrebbe potuto prendere un bel cinque stelle, se non fosse che…!!! Ci siamo stati per cena ed eravamo una comitiva di otto persone, verso la fine di marzo 2023. Ci fecero sedere in una zona della sala, apparentemente discreta, sembrava un buon posto, senonché, in un breve lasso di tempo, ci siamo dovuti ricredere subito. Il ristorante era dotato di due ingressi, uno dei quali era proprio al fianco del nostro tavolo. La porta d’ingresso, che era di vetro, si apriva verso l’interno, a poco più di un metro da chi era seduto verso quel lato del tavolo, il quale, comportava una certa difficoltà per chi doveva entrare e figuriamoci, un disturbo incessante per quelli seduti verso quella zona. Oltretutto, la porta aveva un problema nel meccanismo di apertura/chiusura e quindi, ogni volta che qualcuno entrava, la porta rimaneva immancabilmente semichiusa, causando così un continuo spiffero d’aria fredda moto fastidiosa. Visto il problema della porta, non sconosciuto al personale e alla proprietà, non riesco a capire il criterio con cui è stato deciso di lasciarla necessariamente aperta, invece di indirizzare i clienti verso l’altro ingresso, che si trova sempre sulla stessa via, a non più di 4/5 metri di distanza da quella “difettosa”. **Stelle per il confort. Ad ogni modo personale gentile ed educato, ma a parte la capo sala che si vedeva essere un po' più del mestiere, il resto dei camerieri si capiva che non erano del maestiere, tutti ragazzi giovani, forse alla prima esperienza, ma questo non fu per noi un grosso problema, anzi, abbiamo interagito con loro scherzosamente, permettendoci pure di dare loro dei consigli, d’altronde tutti prima o poi iniziano ad imparare un mestiere. * Stelle per il servizio. Riguardo alla qualità delle pietanze ordinate, nulla da dire, tutto buono e cotto nella giusta misura. ** Stelle per la qualità del cibo. Abbiamo ordinato sia dei primi che dei secondi di carne. I primi piatti non erano certo abbondanti, direi giusti ma comunque buoni e gradevoli, mentre i secondi, di carne tipo costata/tagliata, erano di carne buona, abbondante e cotta perfettamente. In conclusione, consigliato per la qualità del cibo, un po’ meno per chi ha grandi pretese nel servizio e cose varie. La Volta Antica. I walked in and was wanting take away pizza. The man with glasses was rude and wasn’t at all helpful or patient.

While waiting for the pizza’s, I had a beer with my friend. When the pizza’s were ready, we were presented with the bill and assumed it was okay.

We ordered the: La Regina Margarita €9.00 Perugina €9.00 2 Peroni €12.00 Total: €30.00

We were charged €32.00

After we got home we realised that they charged us an extra €2.00 for the La Regina Margarita pizza.
