We had some communication issues with our host that detracted a bit from our stay, unfortunately. The location of the B&B is excellent and the rooms are comfortable, the air conditioning is effective and everything in the room worked (the beds and pillows were a bit hard). We had originally planned on arriving at 4 pm, but were told that our host couldn't meet us if we arrived later than 2:30 from Syracuse. We did make it, but the host seemed rushed and a bit annoyed. We were given a room that did not match the one we reserved - it was smaller but seemed OK. This was near the end of our trip and, frankly, we didn't care, but the host told us that we might be able change rooms despite us not even asking about it. Because we had a full day tour to Etna the following day, we declined to switch, but the host was fairly insistent and so we packed our things and left them in our room so it would be simple to move. We had thought to ask the host the next morning at breakfast, but when we went at the scheduled 8 am nothing was set up so we hurried out to grab coffee before our tour. During our tour of Etna, the host texted me to ask when we would be back so we could switch rooms. I told her an approximate time which was later than she preferred, so she moved our bags to a new room. This again was fine but she seemed annoyed with me over text, and I was a bit concerned about our stuff. She gave us breakfast the next morning. During the breakfast I asked whether we could pay but she seemed rushed and distracted, and didn't seem to understand. I assumed she or the hotel would send a payment request, as many B&Bs on our trip had, but when I texted her to let her know that we had to leave early in the morning for the airport she again seemed annoyed, suggested that I didn't give her enough information and seemed to imply that I was trying to avoid payment. She did eventually give me bank details and I wired payment to her (paying a higher fee to do so). I am sure that my poor Italian contributed to the awkwardness, but overall I would say that this is a nice B&B in a great spot but may not be worth...

The reservation was very uncomplicated. ||||We were warmly welcomed with coffee and compote on the roof terrace with a spectacular view on the Duomo, Mount Etna and the sea. Here we enjoyed with the other guests our rich breakfest (ham, cheese, frech fruits, yoghurt, croissant, coffee, juice). Guests have always access to the roof terrace and so we enjoyed also our wine in the evening there. ||||We had also a private balcony, which had a nice view on the sea and the harbour. Pepa, the landlady, was very kind and helpful! We enjoyed meeting her so much! From the B&B you can vistit the interesting spots per foot: the Duomo with the elefant fountain, the fish market, Via Crociferi and Via Etnea are just a few minutes away. ||||Since we took our train in the afternoon we could leave our luggage after checking out in the B&B. Because of the location it can be a little noisy in the night. But we did not have any issues with falling asleep. ||||We highly recommend the B&B and would love to come back! Thanks für everything,...
