Palazzo Platamone — Attraction in Catania

For everyone wanting to visit this place, please read first. This is a huge tourist trap. You pay 10€ for some modern art. Some of the art consisted of the "waste" of the artist in a can. I paid 10 euros for that. And i didn t even get a receipt or a ticket, even if i asked for it. The palace is in a bad condition. Non conoscevo affatto questo palazzo ma devo dire che, nonostante ci sia andato appena una sola volta, l'ho trovato molto affascinante. Visitato per una mostra del pittore olandese Escher, sono rimasto piacevolmente colpito dalla bellezza e dalla storicità del luogo. L'intero palazzo sprizza antichità (in senso positivo) da tutti i pori, come del resto l'intera città di Catania. Lo staff (non so del palazzo in se o di quella particolare mostra) è stato molto gentile nel fornire ogni genere di informazioni. L'unica piccola negatività che ho riscontrato riguarda l'assenza di un qualsiasi tipo di parcheggio interno per le auto (per via modo in cui è stato costruito in passato).
