Great people, great service – and great conversations. Left luggage storage in a Sicilian delicacies shop recommended by pretty much everyone. :) We arrived by bus from Syracuse and needed to store our luggage for a day; a taxi driver at the bus station directed us immediately to Agathae’s. The shop owner greeted us warmly, took care of our luggage, and in no time we found ourselves discussing tolerance, mutual respect between people, and other basic human values. He also gave us directions to the city center, explaining the best way to get to Teatro Massimo Bellini. When we returned for our luggage, we were greeted by a kind, charismatic Sicilian lady (Agata, I suppose), who handed our bags back for a more than reasonable price. We also bought some local delicacies, including sundried tomatoes, about which she gave a detailed explanation on how to use them the real Sicilian way. We had a lovely discussion about culinary traditions, and at the end, Agata gifted us bottles of mineral water and packets of snacks for our trip. Her kindness and warmth crowned our fantastic journey through Sicily (in May 2025). Now the sundried tomatoes sit proudly in our kitchen cupboard, and whenever we reach for them, the glamorous Sicilian sunshine and the warmth of people like Agata...
Read moreYou might be surprised by the idea, but Agata and her husband are offering luggage storage. Being so close to the Piazza Borsselino, it makes sense. This is the last stop of the Airport bus Alibus before reaching the Terminals. So, we left our backpack with Agata, for 50 eurocents per hour each small one and 1€ the luggage. Moreover, every weekend, you can enjoy a flea market on the very street, antiques and stuff. Agata herself is very kind and straightforward. So, if you arrive too early, or if you have to spend a few hours before your flight, leave your luggage with Agata and enjoy the center of...
Read moreWe stored our luggage here for two hours and we were delighted with the experience. The price is very low compared to other places and the staff were friendly, attentive, and kind. The shop is located beside the Piazza Borsellino bus station and only a 15-20 minute walk from Catania Centrale. Short walk to the centro storico too and the many markets, attractions, bars, and restaurants there. We would definitely recommend this as a place to store luggage when...
