My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in May 2023. When I made the booking, I asked for the quietest room available and we were put in the "Bloom" room, which is the only room on the top floor, in the roof. The room was really large, clean and modern. We didn't need to use the air conditioning, as it wasn't that hot but it was there if needed. A lovely bathroom and shower too. Fire tv in the room allows you to ask your online streaming services. They charge an extra €3 each morning for breakfast but we both thought this was excellent value. Giulia and Esther ran the reception and breakfast room and were really friendly and professional, both speaking excellent English. The online access to the courtyard, hotel and room via your smartphone seems a bit complicated at first but is easy once you've done it a couple of times. We asked for some old-fashioned keys too, just in case of problems but we didn't use them. The hotel is only a 7 or 8 minute walk from the heart of the old town and is right on the "Alibus" route to and from the airport (€4 each way per person). Catania seems crazy at first but you adjust and it's a beautiful old city. We also went to Taormina and Siracusa by bus for day trips and we would recommend both, as they're very different to each other and different to Catania. All in all a lovely 4 days made even more pleasant by Esther, Giulia and the rest of the staff, who do a terrific job. I would...
Read moreWe stayed one night in the Suite Inn in 2018 and enjoyed our visit so much that when we returned to Catania for a three night stay this year (2022) we knew that we could do no better than return to the same B&B. The Suite Inn is well located for visiting many of the places of interest in the city and although it is on the main road there was no noise at night thanks to the sound-proof shutters.||Our room (Big Bang) was a good size with enough wardrobe space and drawers. The bathroom was also a good size with room for all our bits and pieces. Breakfast was a good version of the standard Italian fare with plenty to choose from. Our only criticism would be the lighting in the room. It was so low that we sometimes had to use a torch. However, we were told that a major refurbishment will be done over the winter and so that problem should be addressed.||The staff could not be more helpful and we would certainly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the...
Read moreNice place to stay right in the city centre. At first glance you might think you’re in the ghetto, but it’s actually only a couple of min walk to all the main attractions and nice local bars and fun & arts district, which is very cool. The hotel room was nice clean and modern. The air conditioning is brand new, the bed is really comfortable and they had a parking spot for us to use, which was very convenient. The hospitality in the morning during breakfast was amazing, we actually had plans to eat at a local cafe, but the host caught us on the way out and offered us cappuccino and told us there was breakfast for us included. When we saw the breakfast we decided to eat there. The breakfast included yogurt, muesli, toast, fresh croissants, bread, cold meats and coffee. Jane is lovely and the last 30 min just having breakfast there she really made our stay. Thanks so much Jane for the hospitality! We would recommend this place to our friends if they...
