Check-in Procedure: Upon booking, I was contacted via WhatsApp by an unknown number with several inquiries, including a request for passport photos. In retrospect, I realize this could have been risky and potentially a scam, but fortunately, it was legitimate. However, for security reasons, such sensitive information should be exchanged through a secure portal with proper encryption, not direct messages, or handled in person, especially since the hotel lacks a reception desk. A more secure check-in process is needed. Regarding payment, my booking for four nights was quoted at €466.62, as per the receipt and confirmation. Yet, my credit card was charged €510.62, likely due to an undisclosed cleaning fee. The only mention of an additional charge is a notice in the elevator warning of a €50 fee for not disposing of trash, but the dumpsters were inaccessible, being locked.
About the Hotel: The hotel is conveniently located just a minute's walk from the T2 light rail stop, providing direct access to the city center and central station. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are fairly comfortable. My kitchen-equipped room had a sliding door with a notice telling to contact reception before opening, which I overlooked as it was unlocked. The kitchen is well-stocked with utensils, tableware, a two-burner stove, oven, and kettle, but lacks coffee-making equipment. An iron and ironing board are also provided. The room is clean and roomy, but the bathroom and shower are quite small, posing a challenge for larger individuals. The water pressure is satisfactory.
For a good night's sleep, consider using a face mask and earplugs due to the penetrating street noise and the frequent light rail passing every seven minutes from early morning until past midnight. Leaving windows open is not an option, leading to overheating and poor air quality in the room. The climate control unit, with its bright, always-on display is located at the entry, and the blower unit with its luminous screen, are positioned inconveniently above the bed.
Overall Experience: My stay was average, with both positives and negatives.
Positives: Good value for money Excellent location with easy transportation links Well-equipped kitchen Spacious and clean rooms
Negatives: Noisy environment Narrow shower space Climate control unit lacks a night mode Check-in process vulnerable to scams and...

Good:
Very close to tram station , which takes you directly to airport or train station. Large rooms , decent size bathroom & easy access. Also close to nearby cafe.
Bad:
I have seen reviews were receptionist was kind and all , well you will experience that only when you check in , in my 3 day stay I had no issues , but the last day ruined it , which is why this bad review. Me and my wife had come from a 12 hour hiking tour and were very tired. Coming to the hotel room in the night , we find the AC isn’t working and we were feeling hot. When I checked with the receptionist she mentioned they switched off the AC for whole apartments because it was cold outside ( it was 24 degrees centigrade or around 75 deg F) . I was shocked , but I was tired so I asked if there is a portable fan , receptionist said nothing is available and put the phone down.
This is when I also realized that since the room was so close to tram , there was lot of noise from the street, since there was no AC’s noise to cover for. You cannot even open a window because of mosquitoes.
It was frustrating and I decided to book another hotel that night to go sleep where the AC was working. I also found out that in Florence the AC are turned off in winter but it only starts on NoV 1st , I think they decided to do it a week before and were unapologetic.
This experience ruined my vacation. Finally had to sleep in another hotel for the last night.
I would not...
Read moreI’m trying to be fair and I will discuss each pro and con we experienced at this aparthotel but to sum it up, I personally would not stay here again for the 2 main disadvantages I found. 1. It is VERY loud outside. I am a light sleeper so when I saw other reviews on here about the noise I figured it would be the same everywhere for me but when we got here we couldn’t believe it. My fiancé can sleep though loads of noise but all 3 nights we stayed here we got hardly any sleep. There is only one door separating you from the outside where it’s a loud main road, there is a tram nearby, there are sirens all night, the sounds of cars going over grids and then the airport is nearby so you can hear the planes. Secondly, and I know this is personal and different for everyone but me and my partner found the beds to be extremely uncomfortable, but again that is just our opinion. The location is fairly decent, there isn’t a huge selection of restaurants near by but it is very close to a tram stop that takes you into the centre of Florence in less than 15 minutes for only €1.50. The rooms are spacious, a little run down, very basic, the kitchen is a nice touch if you are staying here for longer. We only had two interactions with the reception and they were very friendly both times. It is not a bad place, it just isn’t my preference but the noise level has...
