Everyone should avoid staying at this hotel when visiting Florence! We arrived at the hotel in the middle of April, during which the AC was not allowed to be turned on due to Italian regulations. That was fine, as the weather in Florence was quite chilly and cool. However, this was not the case inside the hotel room, which was unbearably hot due to the lack of ventilation in the room and bathroom.
To cool down the room, we decided to open the window — and that’s when the nightmare began. The window was designed to block noise from the main road, so it was extremely thick. Once the window was opened, it became very difficult to fully close the curtains. That night, tons of mosquitoes entered the room, biting both me and my husband over 10 times each.
We decided to call reception to ask for options, such as a fan, but they had none available. Instead, they provided a broken and expired mosquito vape control device, which did nothing to stop the mosquitoes. We eventually had to close the window, but that made the room extremely hot again. My husband and I had a sleepless night battling the heat and mosquitoes. After a short visit to Florence's town center the next day, we jumped into our car and drove straight to Milan, where hotels already had their AC turned on.
Another issue worth mentioning is the poor water drainage in the shower. By the time we finished showering, the stall would flood because of the slow drain. The toilet wasn’t properly cleaned either. Additionally, the TV was very small and hidden inside the cabinet, making it inconvenient to use.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Florence. You’re better off booking a hotel within Florence's...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel while travelling as a couple with our teenager daughter. We enjoyed the hotel as it was well located and had parking facilities. We had rented a car to visit villages in Tuscany and we also enjoyed the old city of Florence. The hotel has a private parking as well as parking facilities on the road in front of the hotel. The rooms are spacious (according to Europeean standards) and are very clean and well equipped. The only downside was the quality of the breakfast buffet which was not as per europeean standards. We ended ordering continental breakfasts by room service as the buffet was not attractive. The tram is a real plus for this hotel. For only €1.50 per person you are right in the city of Florence in less than 15 minutes. It’s easy to commute and right at the hotel doorstep. The staff have been helpful each time we needed info and they recommended some nice restaurant in the area.||I wouyld recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in Florence who wants to be assured to have peaceful nights, to have parking possibilities and last thing that comes to my mind is its easy access to the airport by the tram which is a few stops away. In some minutes you’re at...
