La Conchiglia — Hotel in Furore

We loved the simplicity of the area , the hotel decorations are beautiful and modern but still have that old italian charm. We spoke to numerous people and they all wished they stayed at our hotel because is right in front of water so no steps to go to some great restaurants . You have to go to Le grotto del Africana (former africana nightclub which is now a wonderful out of this world restaurant at the end of the path after you pass il pirata 10/10 the food and views are so incredible I cried). Now on to La Conchiglia, it is a family own hotel with great service . They helped us booked a taxi and excursion with no problem. The breakfast eggs are the best I ever had so tasty . We loved the breakfast was from 730 to 11am if you wake up late you wont miss it. The cappucinos and the croissants I will dream about. The beach right in front which beware beach chairs have a cost everywhere in Italy but we used the hotel given bag and towels . It is a rocky beach so not comfortable to lay on for long time but gorgeous. The cleaning daily of the rooms was also great. We had very good water pressure ! and awesome very large room and bathroom. |They also have restaurants right in front of hotel (make reservations for tratoria d armandino but dont miss Africana restaurant).|We also had great pizza at maressa in praiano town .|We had a small issue where the balcony door was not closing problem and the hotel team could not had been better , they quickly hired someone to fix it and were very accomodating. It was a wonderful hotel only ten minutes by boat to Positano . I rather stay in Praiano before extra busy and steps galore Positano or Amalfi. We did a tour with La phlagia charter which was great. We will be back next year to this extra romantixlc and wonderful...

In the beginning you think that this hotel has an amazing location and you think you’re going to spend all day tanning on the beach which is just a few steps away and that is why we chose this hotel, but little did we know that the beach is rented by a company and if you want to sit on a tanning bed you have to pay 70€ each day, the other option would be to to sit on the ground since it is still a public beach and when I mean sit on the ground note that it is all pebbles and is very uncomfortable to sit on an it’s on the corner where you barely get any sunlight and is very crowded since it’s public.

The room itself is cute.

Location: note that you are far away from the main road and town the only way to access it would be through car/taxi or scooter.

Staff: they were generally friendly. Since there was not much to do we decided to leave 2 days earlier and when we asked at the reception if we can check out earlier they told us it wouldn’t be refunded it was not possible since we had booked through the app. We called the app through which we had booked and they told us they had no issues refunding as long as the hotel itself accepts, so we found out that the hotel staff/owner lied to us and when we confronted her she was not responsive and wouldn’t give us any options. I understand we wanted to cancel a few days before but plans change and in the service industry one should always be a bit more flexible and understanding. We weren’t expecting a full refund either but a small gesture would have been nice also...

I recently stayed at a La Conchiglia, a charming family-run bed and breakfast on the beach in Praiano, Italy and I must say that it was a truly delightful experience. The access to the beach was unbeatable, just a few steps from the front door of the bed and breakfast. I spent many hours relaxing, enjoying the beautiful views of the sea and the surrounding landscape. It was truly a magical experience.

Finally, the rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable. The decor was tasteful and welcoming, with everything I needed to feel at home during my stay. The bed was cozy and the linens were soft and luxurious, making it easy to drift off to sleep each night.

Overall, I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay on the beach in Praiano, Italy. The staff, breakfast, access to the beach, and rooms were all simply wonderful, and I can't wait to...
