Camping Le Palme — Hotel in Lazise

We used this site as it was close to Verona and had been to the Garda area before. The site was fairly easy to find and to book in, but you have to go into the car park then walk back to the Reception...not clear. The pitch was fine but we noticed that the pitches were generally on the small side. Also the level of late night/early morning loud conversations from other guests was a bit annoying (nothing one can do about that I guess) and there was very loud building activities going on next door, but again, nothing we could do about that either.|The facilities were excellent though...great pizzas, two lovely pools (sadly we didn't have time to use these). The bar was very good but we didn't use the restaurant due to time consideration, but the menu looked very inviting. Electric hook up and water supply was available for our pitch, which was great, however, grey water disposal was not so good as the drain was slightly above the ground (meaning a bit of a struggle to lift the Wastemaster and as it was blocked, the water overflowed and went down slowly. A bit annoying. The laundry facilities were ok, but there was very little clarity in the way of instruction on how to use them, just a few lines in three languages, which did not really explain that there were 3 sizes of token that you use. A couple of the machines' menus could be played around with to give English/German/Italian instructions (which I found eventually). As with most things, it was a bit of trial and error and the staff were obviously used to visitors asking for more tokens because they had gone out of sequence and pressed the wrong button at the wrong time!|The lake was a short walk through the side with a private gateway onto the lakeside path. This led to the villages to both the left and the right of the site. Excellent for a leisurely stroll or brisk walk. Views over the Lake were very pretty. A number of bars and pizzerias were easily accessible along the way.|Reception staff were very helpful and friendly - even though it was quite busy site.|On the way out and due to the tightness of pitch and access track, I managed to put a crease in my 'van bodywork as it swung outon a turn and made contact with the back of a camper van that had not fully parked itself a metre further into its pitch. That was very annoying, but part of the ups and downs of caravanning I guess. This was the only glitch we had in our 3500 mile holiday!|I would recommend this site - certainly for families with smaller caravans - lots of facilities to keep everyone happy (Gardaland is literally 3 minutes down the road) but it's probably more suitable for camper vans - these outnumbered caravans by...

This is a nice campsite with a particularly good pool. Our pitch was roomy, and the bathrooms were underground, so cool, and on the whole clean. There is a small market which has tasty fresh croissants in the mornings, We also ate at the campsite restaurant twice, the food was good. The campiste is less than 30 mins walk to Gardaland amusement park, and halfway between the pretty lakeside towns of Lasize and Pescheria.||The staff in the restaurant, market and pool bar were all very polite. I was therefore very disappointed with how we were treated by the reception staff when we left. We had originally booked till Friday then changed it by email to Saturday, but on arrival I had told the person at reception that we had changed our plans again and would be leaving on Friday, and he said this wouldn't be a problem. On the Friday we rushed to leave on time, since there was little flexibility on the 12 midday leaving time rule (although the campsite was half-empty), only to find out that the lady in reception insisted we pay till the next day, since our booking had not been changed. I could have accepted this since I had changed the booking twice, so i realise the reception staff might have got confused. What was totally unjustified in my opinion was the way the balding gentleman in reception treated me. In fact I left the campsite in tears, and will not be going back, even though it is quite close to my home and could be handy for short breaks. ||Anyone working with the public should remember the rule "The customer is always right", and be apologetic rather...

Positives zuerst: Der Night Audit ist der beste Mitarbeiter, wahnsinnig freundlich und zuvorkommend - Danke, toll! Leider hatte ich mit fast allen Mitarbeitern inklusive den Geschäftsführern das Vergnügen. Der Minimarkt ist toll und die Mitarbeiter einfach super! Die Poolanlage inklusive Sanitäre Anlagen ist sauber und wird aufmerksam durch das Personal gepflegt. Die Gegend hier ist schön, was wenig mit dem Platz zu tun hat, aber die Stimmung hebt. Camping Nachbarn sind top. Alles andere als zusammenhalten ist bei sowas auch nicht möglich.

NEGATIVES: Es wird die sofortige Zahlung des gesamten Rechnungsbetrages bei Anreise gefordert. Eine Rechnung erhält man nicht. Vielleicht weil der Platz fälschlicherweise die Anzahlung 2 mal abgebucht hat? Nach 5 Tagen (Anreise am 30.06.) also heute, habe ich um 18 Uhr um die Ausstellung einer Rechnung gebeten. 3 Mitarbeiter waren anwesend und keiner konnte es machen. Ich musste nochmals unsere ganzen Namen inklusive Adresse aufschreiben. Anscheinend sind wir wohl anonym hier, obwohl wir am Anreisetag alle Ausweise vorgelegt haben. Ich habe schwer das Gefühl, dass hier etwas faul ist?! Wir sind mit einem Baby (4 Monate) hier. Ich rate ausdrücklich davon ab mit Kleinkindern anzureisen, hier werden sie mit Baby im Arm angeschrien. Die Chefs sind beide unverschämt und übergriffig. Der Platz ist ungepflegt, sodass bei Regen das Wasser nicht versickern kann. Es bilden sich Seen vor ihrem Wohnmobil/Wagen und wenn man so viel Glück hat wie wir sinkt man mit dem Wohnmobil ein. Uns wurde angeboten, dass man uns rauszieht, damit wir gehen können. Gastfreundlichkeit wird hier KLEIN geschrieben! Wir haben das Vertrauen nach dem anschreien auf dem Platz mit Baby im Arm verloren und wollen nicht das Risiko eingehen, dass diese durch die Bank unkompetenten Mitarbeiter noch unser Wohnmobil kaputt machen. Am heutigen Tag hatte ich nochmals ein Gespräch, welches nun diese Bewertung ausgelöst hat. Die Dame (stellte sich mir als Chefin vor) gab zuerst vor uns helfen zu wollen. Sie wollte nur mit mir reden, wenn sie das Gespräch aufzeichnen kann. Damit war ich natürlich NICHT einverstanden. Hier werden aktiv Persönlichkeitsrechte mit Füßen getreten! Wir haben für uns und unsere Nachbar Camper wasserfeste Planen gekauft, damit wir den Außenbereich des Platzes wieder sicher und ohne einsinken nutzen können. Die 16€ habe ich von der Dame zurück erhalten. Weiterhin habe ich sie wegen der Umstände um einen Discount Gebeten und danach taten sich menschliche Abgründe auf! Halten Sie sich fest, weil jetzt wird es unangenehm: Die Dame meinte, dass ich nicht glücklich im Leben bin, weil ich mich so oft an die Rezeption wende. Ich wurde in unserem ersten Familienurlaub vor allen Nachbarcampern mit Baby im Arm angeschrien. Weiterhin arbeite ich selbst seit über 10 Jahren im Gastgewerbe (Event, Hotel, Restaurant). Dazu das zu erklären bin ich gar nicht mehr gekommen, weil sie sich komplett in Rage geredet hat. Es ist eine bodenlose Unverschämtheit wie sie Fachkollegen behandeln! Ich habe sie auch gefragt, ob Sie gerne auf so einem Schlammhaufen von Platz Urlaub machen wollen würde. Antwort: Sie ist glücklich im Leben, auch wenn ihr Haus voller Wasser läuft. An der Stelle habe ich die versteckte Kamera gesucht, weil das für mich nicht real sein kann das jmd. sich so verhält. Sie haben mir ja gesagt, dass sie die Rezensionen bearbeiten, daher nun ein paar persönliche Worte an Sie: Ich wünsche Ihnen weiterhin beste Gesundheit, da sie von ihrer Krebserkrankung berichtet haben. Natürlich ist es verständlich in solch einer Ausnahmesituation etwas gereizt zu sein. Sie haben mich jedoch persönlich angegriffen und mir vorgeworfen ich würde meine Tochter nicht glücklich machen, damit ist meine Grenze mehr als nur überschritten. Wir sind noch bis zum 10.07. hier und werden auch bleiben, da wir uns hier eingerichtet haben und keinen weiteren Tag mit ein und auspacken verschwenden wollen. Wir kommen nicht wieder!
