Borj Alarab — Restaurant in Milan

Odd place, I wasn't sure whether it was a bar or halal restaurant, got a bit worried when they said they have no menu and we chose food without knowing exact prices, but it was very fair, the service was very enthusiastic and friendly, food was presented well but tasted average, music was live and a too loud but that may be the theme, I'm not sure. Il peggiore hummus della mia vita l’ho assaggiato in questo ristorante. Ho ordinato un aperitivo con hummus, taboule’, fatoush e NON è arrivato NULLA di tutto ciò,bensì patatine fritte , patate bollite speziate, pane italiano confezionato, del pollo con del grasso e un piattino di melanzane, ho fatto quindi presente al cameriere che nel menu’ ci sono scritte delle pietanze diverse, e che ero andata lì apposta per mangiare dei piatti tipici come quelli scritti sul menu’ dell’aperitivo, sollecitando più volte al cameriere che faceva finta di nulla aspettando l’orario di chiusura, alla fine mi arriva l’hummus ed era veramente disgustoso, tenete conto che io sono stata in Egitto, in Tunisia, negli Emirati arabi, al Yacout di Milano, al jadida di Milano, al noor di Milano e MAI ho assaggiato un hummus così. Oltretutto si mangia nel buio, il locale non è suggestivo o arredato come altri locali arabi. Ma ciò che più mi ha infastidito è ordinare l’aperitivo loro dal menu’ e vedere poi arrivare completamente altri piatti NON è corretto. Il te’ marocchino era inoltre troppo dolce. Insomma disastro. Aggiungo inoltre che viene frequentato da gente non raccomandabile e si può notare già appena si entra il livello delle persone che frequenta...

Horrible restaurant, to avoid absolutely! We ordered two apetizers which did not correspond at all to what was written on the menu. The food was disgusting, even the hummus from the supermarket is better! Poorly educated waiter. The icing on the cake: for two starters and a tea the bill amounted to 51 € !!!!!
