Globally the hotel is nice, pool is cool, the spaces are great to chill. The room we took was nice but not perfect, we asked for a couch and a tub but we were not given that. The bathroom was still nice, big shower but not enough product for 3 person each day. One nice thing was that you could have new towels everyday (both small and big) either by the cleaning team or at the pool. On problem about the rooms: it's absolutely not soundproof. Meaning that each time someone walks in the hallway you'll hear it. When it's someone polite or at night that pay attention it's ok. When it's people with luggage early in the morning, kids at night that run and scream ,people who speak really loudly at night or the cleaning team around 9AM you'll hear it. It would be nice to add signs to remind people that not everyone like noise.
For the pool, it's really beautiful but a little small and the rules are not followed for example by kids that are always running or jumping. Other Big problem at the pool: the loungers! Each morning it's a race where people just come to put their towel on it and sometimes they never come back and just go outside to have a chairs secured and if they decide to comeback it's here. Some people working at the hotel should check that and if for 2or 3 hours you never see someone on the chair you take the towel out. The bar at the pool is nice, only sad thing is that the HappyHour (5 to 6 pm) is only 1hour long and sometime they don't directly open at 5pm.
Breakfast is nice and classic. People serve you on a small buffet with fruits, juices/milk and bread/croissant etc. Sad thing: SO MUCH NOISE on the rooms (but I guess that's the fault of people not the hotel).
If you have a car you're gonna have some trouble finding a car space outside even with the paper the hotel provides you. And some explanations (for foreigners like we were) are not precise enough (some explanations about lane colors were not perfectly given and as it's not something that exist in my country we had some troubles with that). So because of that we had a fine on our last day and as we were not from italy it' still a problem for us. So sad that the hotel was not kind enough to handle that problem for us that payed quite the bill to stay there and appreciated our stay even with the difficulties written above but this was the misstep that tarnished the "high end" image that they want to have. So sad.
Still a nice place to stay if you avoid weeks were kids are here. Teams of the hotel were nice. It's globally nice...
Read moreBeautiful, modern yet still maintaining the local feel of the Tuscany experience with the beautiful decor inside and throughout the hotel. Each employee is welcoming and kind not just to le, but over and over I witnessed their hospitality. From the check in to the check out experience every single aspect was spot on and I will be retuning and HIGHLY recommending this hotel to everyone. The hotel has an amazing restaurant that they serve a large variety of breakfast foods for anyone in the family to find filling and delicious. They also have a nice menu to select lunch and dinner options from if you wanted to stay in and relax poolside or in your room. Speaking of their pool……BEAUTIFUL and relaxing with plenty of lounge chairs and outside seating with the bar open to serve your wine and drinks. They have the Thai Silk Spa to indulge in your massage and wellness needs. You will notice each employee always smiling and greeting you, no matter the time day or night. This is the difference and experience that will have you feel when you are a guest of Grand Hotel Croce Di Malta. This hotel is perfect for your solo, family, vacation or business travels and you will absolutely already start planning your return trip (just like me) when you get back home because of their employees, the hotels beauty and modern comforts and location of right in the middle of the peaceful park and local lively piazza. Thank you to the management for getting the hotel experience right and safe for travelers! I HIGHLY encourage and recommend everyone to stay here while traveling in the Tuscany area due to being about 30-45 minutes from EVERYTHING you want to see and...
