A great place to choose to stay. Clean, spacious (I had the rose room at the back), a desk and chair, wardrobe, very comfy bed, fridge and good sized bathroom with shower. With only two rooms and a shared entrance hallway this is a very private and quiet place to stay. It is also located in Olbias historic centre adjoining one of the town's small squares. The centre, whilst small, is perfect and a lovely place to wander. ||If you want a balcony and view over the town this may not be for you, but if you want a clean and calm place to take a rest from your exploring nd the hot sun think about booking here. ||The front room has windows with shutters onto the quiet narrow street, the back room has a tiny yard 2m x 2m at most at a guess) with an access door. I appreciated this as it kept the room cool and shady which was very welcome. The fridge was great as I travelled on a massive budget so stocked up in the supermarket. I had my own cutlery (from the plane..old habits) and two cups were freshly placed in the room. If you want you self cater and have a kettle or cooking facilities you'd have to search for somewhere that offered this. || ||I'll note to try and confirm your arrival and leaving time with the hosts and stick to it (Manuela welcomed me and could not have been nicer and more helpful). I thought I had a three hour window and arrived towards the end of the timeframe..Manuela was waiting for me and was very kind (didnt even mention it) but I knew I had made her wait around so I felt a bit bad. The same with leaving, checkout is 1030am, so i just left, however it would have been nice to say goodbye and there may be opportunity to leave later if there is no follow on booking. ||Olbia is lovely and has a lot to offer even with a small old town compared to many well visited tourist towns. You would want a car or scooter (I did the latter) to explore further afield if you had more than a day or two based here but it makes a perfect base to come back to and wander around as the sun sets and streets fill up with promenading people. There are some lovely buildings and I spent hours exploring in the evenings...
Read moreI cannot speak more highly of this little place. My room is clean and functional. The owner has to be one of the kindest and most authentic people I’ve met in the business. Due to some issues with a cancelled appointment I found myself with a 1030 am check out with no where to go til 855pm flight. They let me stay because the next guest didn’t check in til late. They then said if I want to leave my suitcase here they will drive it to the airport later so I don’t have to carry it around. Mind blowing. I didn’t do that but the offer was so kind. This place is in the middle of Olbia and so so quiet. I cannot say anything but good about this place and the owner. ...
Read moreVery clean! Right in the middle of Olbia - Restaurants, Cafés all very close by. Perfect to take a stroll through the area. The host is super friendly and made a few calls to help us booking a taxi in the middle of the night to the airport. He speaks really good English, which is kind of rare in Sardinia and sometimes a bit hard if you don’t speak Italian :) so thanks again...
