Dimora Grottone - Guesthouse — Hotel in Polignano a Mare

The location is excellent with both the sea and the centre only a couple of minutes' walk, yet very quiet at night for a good night sleep. The central station is approximately 10 minutes' walk and from here you can catch trains to many other locations such as Monopoli (5 min journey), Bari, Ostuni and many more. Near the station you can also catch a bus to Alberobello, approximately one hour journey. |The rooms and whole building are very well maintained and very secure. |The owner Gianni takes very good care of the building and its guests; he genuinely cares and would do anything to ensure they have a pleasant stay. |His customer service skills are exceptional, he is always available to support with any enquiries and willing to go the extra mile. He replies within minutes and has an extensive knowledge of Polignano and surrounding towns as well as what these have to offer; I tried most of the restaurants he suggested and I was never disappointed. The boat tour suggested was the best!|I have never before received the level of service Gianni has provided in similar accommodations and I would highly recommend Dimora Grottone. We had to book accommodation on short notice because there was an issue with the place we had previously reserved. That’s how we ended up choosing the next available place in the area – Dimora Grottone. After completing the booking and payment, the owner contacted us immediately, and just five minutes later we met him in front of the building. Gianni is an incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely likeable person.||The accommodation is in a great location. It’s clean and well-maintained. We stayed in a small but fully equipped apartment on the second floor. We spent five nights here, and during that time, cleaning was done twice – something quite unusual for apartment rentals. This accommodation was perfect in every way.||Gianni (the owner) was always available to help and was also a pleasure to talk to. I’d like to especially mention that he recommended a fantastic beach nearby that we hadn’t discovered before, even though we had been to Polignano several times. We’re very grateful for that – and for the transfer service as well. This place is highly recommended, and we will definitely stay here...

Fantastic stay! Very close to the historic center, the lungomare Domenico Modugno and its famous statue, wonderful sea view. Close to several restaurants and coffee shop for breakfast. I parked at the street at the low season in May, but there is a convenient paid parking around 200m from the place.||Gianni – the owner – could not be a better host: reliable at checkin and checkout scheduled hours, helped with baggage, gave a lot of useful information and booked us a very nice boat tour. When we arrived there was a bottle of local wine, water and snacks.||The apartment is nice, comfortable bed and pillows, nice TV. The living room and small kitchen are useful, with the minifridge and the nespresso machine, always full with capsules. It was impeccably clean, as they service it every other day and refresh the towels. A free washing machine at the building was also very useful.||Bravo, Gianni, a stay to...
