Residence Villa Al Sole — Hotel in Pustertal - Val Pusteria

My friend and I booked a week at Villa al Sole and had the best time. It's located literally steps off of the slopes with super easy access to the ski lift (Col Alt) but also to others nearby in Corvara. Whether you bring your own skis or you rent in the town, there is a very convenient boot room located in the basement of the accommodation that is always locked and secure. It even has a boot warming rack so when you put your boots on in the morning they are nice and toasty. ||||The woman who owns it, Barbara, is very friendly and was happy to answer all of our questions about where to go in the town for dinner and would help us if we had any requests (her English was great also!). The accommodation was superb--just enough for the two of us who wanted to ski all day and relax in the evening. It was super clean (with maid service each morning). We were very happy that there was a kitchen so we were able to cook our breakfast and had a few dinners there as well. The beds were very comfortable and it was quite spacious for the two of us. ||||Another perk about this residence was that it is located super close to the best Apres ski bar in Corvara -- L'Murin. We went there almost every evening after skiing and had the best time. My husband & I stayed during Labor Day wkend (1st wkend of Sept 2016) to attend a friend's wedding. We booked in January to ensure getting the right room at the wedding rate. We booked #204 bc it is a corner unit with windows & despite the size, it felt bigger. When we arrived we were told we were in #202 which is the same size but doesn't have all the windows. They told us that the stove needed repair in #204. I was greatly disappointed, so the owner, Barbara, told us we can have #205 for the same price. This new room was SUPERB & Barbara was all too kind to make our stay warm & welcoming. #205 was a large 1bdrm that can accommodate another couple as it had a Murphy bed in the large living room. This room had a large separate kitchen, large bedroom, large living/dining, and above all it had a cute backyard with grass and a front porch area with views of the town & gondola up the mountain. The hotel rooms are beautifully decorated with lots of pine woodwork, lovely furniture, comfy beds, great storage, and plenty of kitchen supplies (dishes, plates, toaster, etc). The villa is perfectly located at the top of the hill in town & easy to get around to all the sights, shops, & cafes. These apartments are perfectly located right next to the slopes for in/out skiing. It is also well situated for the shops and bars of Corvara and perhaps too close to the excellent restaurants in the adjacent Ladina and Perla hotels (as neither are cheap - though for a special event, well worth it).The apartment was very comfortable with a great bed and powerful shower with no shortage of hot water. The appliances, crockery etc. are all high quality and the apartment was cleaned daily which you don't generally expect. Barbara was always friendly and helpful.
