I cannot imagine a better place to stay in Rome. |Location:|This is a beautiful boutique hotel situated on the edge of Piazza Navona. We were able to walk almost everywhere within 20 minutes (20-30 for Travestere and Colosseum). There is also a taxi stand just down the street if needed. Shops and restaurants also surround the hotel at every street and you also have easy access to the Campo de' Fiori neighborhood along with Piazza Navona. ||Room:|Stunning. We stayed in the Deluxe Room and the original floors and painted ceilings and decor were beautiful. Room is spacious, AC is strong, bed is the best we slept on during our travels, and the bathroom is roomy and well appointed. The balcony was a favorite of mine. The views are lovely and nothing beat breakfast in the mornings sitting outside and watching the city wake up. This is a hotel of details, and every little touch just added up. ||Reception:|The owner and staff are wonderful and welcoming. They helped us check in when we came in past time, made dinner reservations for us, and secured early morning transportation to the airport. Breakfast was delicious every morning and they even left us with a lovely parting gift. ||I fell in love with Rome during my visit and plan on returning to this very spot. We had such and incredible stay- thank you Le Suite del Barone! Cannot...

First, this is not a proper hotel. It’s an unmarked apartment inside a larger building, with no facade, lobby, or staff presence after 2:30pm. The setup felt misleading and, frankly, sketchy upon arrival.
Our room was in poor condition. The floor tiles were loose and shifted with every step, the velvet furniture and bathroom structures collected dust that was never cleaned, and the overall housekeeping was inconsistent at best. I’m not someone usually sensitive to dust, but this place really got to me. Midway through our stay we also noticed what appeared to be water damage or mold on the ceiling, which raised further concerns about upkeep.
While the included breakfast was a nice touch, it doesn’t make up for the lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and transparency. Travelers expecting a hotel experience will likely be...

The whole place is quite cramped, so walking to your room might feel a bit claustrophobic. The actual room had everything we needed, but the floors seemed dirty or used, making it uncomfortable to walk without slippers (which are provided with the room). The breakfast is okay, as you get to choose what you’d like and when you’d like to eat, but the meals seemed to be bought from a supermarket. I appreciated that you could request additional items, so I recommend asking for a glass of water each morning (I assume the water in the building is drinkable but has an odd taste). Overall, we had a good time since the bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean, which was all we really needed. PS: Walking into the building, the stairs and the elevator—which looks like it might get stuck—don’t give the best first impression, but it’s okay once you get used to it (though I still recommend taking...
