This place is still amazing! Love the food, and the staff is always so hospitable.

Probably the most memorable part was how they smiled as we practiced our basic Italian to the point where we called Sergio our teacher :). While we are not fluent or even conversational in Italian…my wife and I have been learning and felt very comfortable trying. As a tourist…this makes the trip so special! Grazie mille!

Fantastic food! This is still my wife and I's favorite restaurant in Rome. I really like the Paccheri al Ragu. Such a simple dish and yet such rich in flavor. The staff is still very warm and friendly! Can't wait to come back again for a third visit!

2017 Visit (Original Review) My wife and I enjoyed a memorable meal at Fatto in Casa tonight. This place was recommended by a local who did our laundry a few days earlier.

My wife and I do our best to find places away from touristy spots and try to find places “locals” enjoy.

Upon arriving, I was very thankful to have taken the advice of a local. We were greeted with friendly staff who seemed very excited to share with us their establishment, despite us only knowing a few Italian words. Don’t worry, the staff speaks excellent English :)

Anyways our server was great! She helped us with the menu and made us feel confident with our choices....however, I’m confident anything you get would be amazing because our choices sure were amazing!

It also helped that the restaurant had a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay, dine and enjoy yourself.

Finally everyone around us felt like everyday Romans with their families enjoying a nice meal. When you’re surrounded by locals, you know you’ve come to the right spot!

What an incredible experience at Fattoincasa by Hosteria La Danesina! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and taken care of, especially by our waiter, Musa. He was beyond wonderful—attentive, kind, and incredibly helpful. His service was a perfect 10/10.

Musa truly made our experience unforgettable. His warm smile and positive energy made us feel at home from the start. He was always attentive without being intrusive, ensuring we had everything we needed. His recommendations were spot on, and he took the time to explain the dishes with passion. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality, and Musa absolutely set the standard. Grazie, Musa—you made our lunch special!

The food was absolutely fantastic. The carbonara was the best we've ever had—creamy, rich, and perfectly cooked. The pasta with meatballs was incredibly fresh and flavorful, a true comfort dish. And the Roman-style pizza? Simply superb!

To complement our meal, we had their house-made white wine, which was delightful and paired beautifully with our dishes. To finish, we enjoyed a rich espresso, and they surprised us with a lovely limoncello drink—such a sweet touch!

A big thank you to the entire team, especially Musa a 21 year old Albanian guy, for making this such a memorable meal. You are in our hearts! Highly recommended for anyone...

Passed this place down a little street on the way to Piazza Navona after going to the Vatican. Lovely place full of locals and tourists alike and the staff were friendly and not too pushy (which I love!). The prices are brilliant if you're going for pasta or pizza and the drinks were good as well 👌 had myself a house white and my partner had a red which both of us enjoyed and was really nice. Best of all it came with a little jug which lasted a long time and ended up with around 2 1/2 glasses each. (Per jug) The food came out quite quickly and was tasty and just how you'd expect going to an Italian. Despite the busy-ness they were quite attentive to begin with however it did drop after we'd eaten our mains.. wasn't asked if we wanted a dessert until around maybe 10 mins later but not to worry as we were enjoying our wine and having a good chat. I would definitely recommend this place for a couple or even a family if you're looking for a small place with lots of...
