My husband and I stayed here on our recent trip to Rome. Luckily I had read reviews on Tripadvisor and knew that this is actually a private apartment building so I knew what to look for on trying to get in. A lovely older gentleman actually let us in to the building and pointed us towards the hotel. It is one flight up. We were greeted very warmly and given our keys and shown our room. They room was quite nice. Very clean, and recently renovated. We were given our breakfast vouchers for the cafe across the street and told that they cleaning staff is usually in the building after 9:00 am.||We loved being a neighborhood and not at a normal hotel. It made us feel very local and we found some great area restaurants which we frequented all week because of this.||My only complaint is the bed. It was awful. I have traveled to Europe several times before and know they are much firmer mattresses than here in the United States, but this bed as beyond uncomfortable. It was hard as rock. It made it very difficult to sleep for the first few nights. We asked for extra pillows and received them that same morning, which helped a bit. I also took two of the extra blankets from the wardrobe and placed them on the bed to help give a little more cushion. This actually helped immensely. ||Overall my husband and I loved it here. The Wifi worked great the entire time we were there. Breakfast across at the cafe was nice. Coffee, juice, and a pastry. Very yummy. Not sure we would stay there again because of the bed. With so much to see in Rome, the bed and shower are really the only two things we wanted in a room. Shower was great, but we ached for a comfortable...
Read moreWe were treated very well at this property. On arrival, our host (a younger gentleman) gave us full details of the area we were in and provided us with a map and all other useful information.||||He showed us to our room, which was really well sized by Rome's standards. Everything was very comfortable, clean and just ideal really for what we wanted.||||Our room had good wi-fi coverage, although that doesn't bother me, my wife made good use of it.||||We felt really at home here and it is located within a private courtyard off a good street.||||Castel Sant'Angelo is within close walking distance as is the Vatican City. Ottaviano and Lepanto Metro Stations are very close too, we made more use of Ottaviano but either is good. There is also a bus/tram terminus nearby that you can make use of where we got a bus to take us near enough to see the Pantheon and other sights.||||There are also some very good local restaurants on the top of the street where the property is located.||||I cannot praise this property highly enough and both my wife and I would return here if we do get...
Read moreWe booked the B&B "Tribullo" but because of problems in the bathrooms ended up here.||The person who met us was very kind. ||The room we received was in a flat which is located at the first floor of a modern building. One key for the main door, one key for the flat and one for the room. The room was with own modern, clean nice bathroom but the view was to a dark yard with very very load motorbike arrivals deep in the night. At the corridor next to our room they have a huge drink dispenser working quite noicy all night long to cool the drinks. The doors to our room were thin like paper and I could not sleep at all the first night.||I complaint and the machine was switched off the next night and the third night it was running again but I pulled the socket!||The place was very clean, bed made every day, wifi, Tv and nice bathroom.||However the room was not cosy. Very functional.||All in all I would say not too bad, just make sure you take a room which is not located next to this machine and avoid if possible...
