I recently dined at Zig Ristorante, and it was a really bad experience from start to finish. Not only did the staff mishandle the payment process, but the owner's attitude was disgraceful.
When it came time to pay, I encountered problems with their card machine. I had to swipe my card three times because they claimed the machine wasn't working properly. Little did I know that each swipe was deducting money from my account. Upon reviewing my bank statement, I was shocked to discover that I had been charged three times for a single meal!
I contacted the restaurant to address this issue, and the response I received was far from satisfactory. The owner, instead of acknowledging the error, treated me with complete disrespect and dismissed my concerns. It was clear that they had no intention of resolving the situation or providing a refund.
Such unethical and dishonest practices are unacceptable in any business. I strongly advise anyone considering dining at Zig Ristorante to think twice. Not only do they have serious issues with their payment system, but the customer service and attitude of the owner left me appalled. This experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth, and I will not be returning to this establishment.
I hope this review effectively conveys your dissatisfaction with the restaurant's actions and encourages potential diners to be cautious when dealing with their...
Read moreI searched for a good restaurant, this checked the boxes: closed from 3-7, outside of the main tourist hot spots and great reviews. We chose Prati because it is close to where our friends are staying. Sadly, it was a very disappointing experience. My friends ordered burgers and they were dry and overcooked even though they ordered medium rare. I ordered the salmon tartare and the avocado so so unripe that I could barely stick my fork in it...Additionally, the salmon might have been a bit off and overall, it tasted like it had zero seasonings. They did take the salmon tartare off the bill. My partner, who is Italian, ordered Amatriciana pasta to make up for the burger, which is risky near the center of Rome. We live in Rome and know what a proper Amatriciana should taste like and this was not it. At one point during our meal, the entire restaurant staff was gone for about 5-10 minutes.
The good part of the evening was that the staff was very welcoming and kind to my young daughter. It does have a nice atmosphere and has the potential to be a...

After a long travel day, we were lucky enough to land at ZIG Ristorante Roma Prati for our first dinner in Rome and it absolutely hit the mark. Our golf cart tour guide overheard us wondering where to go, and he took the liberty of securing us a reservation here. Great call.
We started with a round of appetizers cacio de pepe balls (amazing), fresh hummus with meatballs, and a classic bruschetta that was spot on. For mains, the whole table explored the menu: Chase had the shrimp tartare pasta, Collin went all in on the seafood pasta, and Carin and I shared a crisp Caesar salad and the standout octopus ragù pasta. Every bite was flavorful, well-balanced, and beautifully plated.
The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the vibe was the perfect mix of laid-back and stylish. Great wine, great people, and a great way to kick off our Rome adventure.
