OK...a few caveats. Yes, I’m a very seasoned traveller and stayed here as an alternative to other IHG hotels...just to compare. First, make sure you know the EXACT location of this hotel or you may be in for a long and confusing walk. A taxi CAN stop RIGHT OUT THE FRONT to drop you off...bring a map and/or hotel photo as the taxi drivers are pretty useless. Onto the hotel. The one staff member we interacted with was great, very knowledgeable and spoke perfect English (if that’s important to you) and took good orientation time. The room is spacious but a bit tired. There’s a nice Nespresso machine available (ask for milk) but not enough clean cups...you’ll end up cleaning yours in the bathroom sink. The bathroom is tiny (not unusual in Rome) and the shower size is good, but water pressure is not great. Yes, I’m a fussy traveller (especially when on business) and in a nutshell there are plenty of good alternative hotels in this area at cheaper prices. It’s always a good idea to book these kinds of hotels as a last minute deal 2-3 days before your arrival to save yourself 70-80% on the ‘normal’ seasonal price. It’s good, but not...
Read moreWe chose this location as it was far enough outside the main city to not be busy with tourists but close enough to walk to most places. It was a lovely room overlooking the streets, but you could see Vatican city from the balcony. The room was clean and tidy, with a good sized bathroom. Breakfast was included and was provided by a snack bar just across the road from the rome inn. The service was good, even before our stay I received an email offering advice on the best way to get from the airport. ||The location was good. Most attractions were within an hour walk, or if you're not a big walker, the metro station was only 50 to 100 yards away. ||The only criticism I would have is that we came on a week where the temperatures were 35 degrees plus everyday. For this reason a lot of showers were needed, but the towels in the room weren't changed in the whole of our 5 day stay and we weren't advised of this before hand so didn't have chance to bring extra towels.||I would definitely recommend a stay at...
Read moreThis is more of a guest apartment. Located on the 5th floor of a residential building. Elevator available. The apartment has three bedrooms only. My bedroom window had a view of the back of the neighboring tall buildings. Room includes newly remodelled shower bathroom. Good Wifi provided. I booked this room assuming breakfast will be provided at the location, but you only get a coupon voucher to get a coffe and croissant at a neighboring cafe located a few block down which i never used. This building is located way behind the vatican wall opposite entrance. I had to uber because the extra long walk would not be feasible for me on a hot humid day. There is a carrefour 24hour market around the corner which was very convenient. The metro is located down the street, but check your distance to your sightseeing sites. I did enjoy the comfortable room and quiet building. The rooms are well maintained and you can text the hotel manager for any issues since there is no staff there. Housekeeping was...
