This is not a hotel it's more close to an apartment. Not sure why people have given this hotel 5 stars. It's located inside what would be similar to an office building. I think the pictures on the website are very misleading. The main issue we had is there was NO AC and we went at the end of July where the temperature was 35 degrees plus every day. The mini fridge in the room doesn't keep the items cold. We arrived very late and there was no instructions of how to check in. If it wasn't for our lovely transfer driver we would have been stranded. The lady who answered was rude and not very helpful. The team is supposed to be around from 9.30am but most times they were either gone by about 2pm and not there. The most helpful of the 3 people who ran the facilities was Raphael. There is additional charges of 5 Euro for extra towels after 3 days. The good things, although not as glamorous as shown on their website the venue was clean. The location is good as the buses are just outside and there are some nice local restaurants which are about 20mins walk either way, 5/10mins by bus. The bus journey to the Colosseum is also very convenient just 15/20mins although the bus service in Italy is not the best in terms of timings and there are no seats when waiting not the best for anyone with a disability like my daughter who can't stand for too long. In summary I would not...
Read moreA little out of the way of most of the Tourist hot spots of Rome, but within easy walking distance of the nearest Metro station and only a short walk to the Vatican City. The room was clean and simple, with a nice shared kitchen space in which to have breakfast - the coffee machine and cakes were great!
However, over a 4 night stay, we didn't have our sheets or towels changed once. A sign in the room said that they were changed every 2 days, free of charge, but we didn't see any evidence of this. Alongside that, our bin and beds were not emptied or made at least twice.
It's a pity, because of the nice room and facilities at a very competitive cost, it could have been a lot better with a more attentive service. I'd recommend if you're on a budget and want to see a lot of Rome - cheap and cheerful with...
