Hotel Ciamp — Hotel in Salten-Schlern - Salto-Sciliar

We stayed at this pension for a week skiing holiday. The rooms are comfortable and a nice size. We had a balcony facing the wonderful Sella Ronda mountains, which made the room even nicer. Both room and bathroom seem to have been renovated quite recently and look nice and clean. The dining room is typical of the region (with wood pannelling) and has a small buffet bar (used for breakfast in the morning and the salad bar in the evening). The food, served on plates, is cooked by the owner's son, and is absolutely wonderful. Each night we were treated to a 4 course meal of high standards: great Italian-style cooking with fresh ingredients. We loved it.||Downstairs is a very nice spa (with all kinds of saunas). It's great but does get crowded as it's only open from 4 -7pm. The basement also comes with a locker room for skis.||The owner of the pension (an elderly lady) is ever present and and is a true host. She looks after you like a mother hen and makes you feel very welcome. ||The only disappointment during our stay was the lack of free wifi. It's old fashioned to ask 4 euro's per hour for an internet connection. But other than that, our stay...

The house is very beautifully located on the slope of the valley, near the town centre and all attractions and connections, yet in a quiet place. The views over the valley and to the waterfall with dominating Langkofel rock are breathtaking. The rooms very spacious, excellently comfortable, naturally decorated with wood and textiles. Large spa with dozens of functions is available in the basement, and the well equipped storage room for winter or summer sport tackle is provided. The Family and staff are very caring and careful about the guests. Extremely helpful and flexible with all bookings and services. And food!!!! Wir waren für eine Woche im Ciamp und unsere Erwartungen wurden leider nicht erfüllt.

Angefangen bei der Zimmerbuchung: online kann man nur zwischen Comfort und Superior unterscheiden. Die Zimmer sind allerdings auch noch nach Aussicht unterkategorisiert. Das wussten wir nicht und somit hatten wir keinen Blick auf den Langkofel sondern zur Rückseite mit Blick auf einen Hang mit Schafen (die ununterbrochen klingeln - auch nachts).

Das Comfortzimmer ist schön renoviert. Das Bad allerdings nicht. Ist generell kein Problem, es war alles sehr gepflegt. Nur die Duschwand auf der Badewanne war etwas in die Jahre gekommen und somit stand jedesmal das halbe Badezimmer unter Wasser. Was uns auch wirklich störte: ab ca 17.00 Uhr gibt es kaum warmes Wasser auf dem Zimmer, scheinbar duscht dann jeder Gast gleichzeitig. Im Sommer ist es noch halbwegs okay kalt zu duschen, im Winter möchte ich das definitiv nicht.

Bei Ankunft wurde uns gesagt dass es um 19.00 Uhr Abendessen gibt. Wir kamen am ersten Abend gegen 19.30 Uhr und wurden ziemlich unfreundlich von der Seniorchefin darauf hingewiesen dass es UM 19.00 Uhr Essen gibt und nicht AB. Am zweiten Abend waren wir pünktlich, allerdings war unser Tisch nicht eingedeckt 🤷🏼‍♀️

Das Essen war an jeden Tag super lecker! Egal ob Frühstück oder Abendessen, es wird sich richtig viel Mühe gegeben. Das schmeckt und sieht man! Super sympathisch war auch die tolle Servicekraft, sie macht einen richtig tollen Job!

Die Sauna wird im Sommer nur auf Wunsch eingeschaltet, was auch vollkommen in Ordnung ist. Wichtig zu wissen: Für das Leihen eines Bademantels muss man 15 Euro bezahlen, die man nicht mehr zurück bekommt.

Ich hatte während unseres Aufenthalts Geburtstag. Ich hatte keine Geschenke oder eine Torte erwartet. Leider gab es nicht einmal ein paar nette Worte, was meiner Meinung nach nicht zu viel verlangt ist. Schade, denn genau solche Kleinigkeiten machen es aus.

Immer präsent ist die Seniorchefin. Wir fühlten uns bei ihr leider nicht willkommen. Ob es an ihrer Art liegt oder ob es daran liegt dass wir nicht schon seit 20 Jahren dort Urlaub machen wie der Großteil der Gäste wissen wir nicht (dort setzt sie sich auch an den Tisch und isst mit zu Abend).
