In one word - awesome! But I feel I have to explain ...
My review is heavily influenced by the fast, that we originally booked the smallest room in the Residence, but due to a construction of the building next door, we got upgraded to the best suit in the new Lodge building with private sauna and jacuzzi on the terrace ... all without even knowing there is some construction running, without asking or paying anything extra. And we got even asked if we like the new room :) And for me, that says it all! The attention to detail and client satisfaction, being welcomed from he first minute and taken care of well beyond your expectations. I was actually speachless :) I got upgraded in my life before, but not 10 levels up :)
The suit is enormous, with two bathrooms, a living room, a separate sitting room / working space, a bedroom and a walk-in wardrobe. And the sauna and a huge balcony with the jacuzzi overlooking the Sassolungo peak. We came to Val Gardena for the hikes, so we actually did not spend too much time inside, but we were really considering cancelling the treks just to hang out inside the room, enjoy it and never leave :)
All the staff was super friendly, breakfast was excellent, room cleaned every day and so are both buildings both buildings are clean and shiny.
About Santa Cristina - we were there in October, so totally off-season, so it was super empty and quiet. And it's a few bus stops from Ortisei and you get there for free as you get a transport card when you check-in. So one day we took the bus to Ortisei in the morning, got up to Seceda a walked down on foot in the afternoon directly to the hotel. It was actually a benefit for us, but I understand Ortisei would be a bit more alive for those who want to enjoy some night life :)
Really cannot find out any negatives and our short stay felt too short at the end. And I have to say - I believe that apart the upgrade, the rest of my review would be the same even if we spent our days in Dolomiti in the small room we originally booked :)
Thank you for the few days we'll...
Read moreThis is truly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at in Europe. The hotel was recently renovated this year, and all the facilities are fantastic. Every staff member we met was incredibly friendly and professional. My husband and I came to the Dolomites for our honeymoon, and Raffaella arranged an absolutely unforgettable experience for us, taking care of every detail, even surprising us with two bottles of sparkling wine and a beautifully prepared room.
Our room was spacious and came with a garden, where we could enjoy the sunset over the mountains. It even had a private sauna—unbelievable! The hotel offers ample free parking, and right across the street is the town’s best steakhouse, which we visited several nights in a row. I rarely rave about hotel breakfasts, but here everything was fresh and delicious—the baked goods were amazing, and the made-to-order omelettes were, honestly, better than many I’ve had at five-star luxury hotels.
I also noticed how animal-friendly the hotel is; all the dogs I saw were treated with great care and attention. Absolutely a five-star experience, especially considering the price is very reasonable—something rare in European tourist areas. I highly recommend booking through their official website for the best rates. We will definitely return, and next time I hope to bring our Bernese...

The hotel is new. The rooms and the decor were beautifully thought out, and it was spotless - every detail has been carefully considered to make guests feel at home.
The breakfast is amazing, with fresh and local produce, pastries, fruits. We looked forward to it every morning. We also really appreciated being able to use the coffee machine and tea facilities throughout the day, which was a lovely touch (and there was still a kettle in the room too).
Rafaella is such a friendly, warm and welcoming host. She truly made our stay special and was always happy to offer tips and local recommendations.
There is a parking lot that is easy to access and the hotel is in a great location.
We really can't recommend this hotel enough. We are so glad we booked it. We really hope we can come...
