We had a great experience visiting Cris at his bed and breakfast. The property is very peaceful and off the beaten path, but is just a few short flights of stairs down from the town of Ravello. The room was very clean , quiet , secure and well maintained. Cris is very kind and is an excellent cook. He cooked us dinner one night and it was absolutely delicious - with ingredients produced from his own farm. We also sampled some of his own wine. It was a very unique experience that we haven't had anywhere else. To get to the property, take the SITA bus from Amalfi (1.20 euro per person each way, buy the tix at the tobacco shop opposite the bus stop by the traffic circle) and tell the bus driver you will be getting off at Agriturismo Aquabona. All the bus drivers knew where the place was and the bus drops you off right at the gate -- even though there is no official "bus stop" at the location. To leave, you can flag the SITA bus down to get back...
Read moreWe stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved it! It was our favourite accommodation throughout our entire Italy trip. It took us awhile to find the place since we had no car and had to rely on public transit and lots of walking. Upon arrival we were met by the owner Christoforo and his wife who were both extremely welcoming and offered us some water. The property is beautifully situated on the hillside to the west of Ravello. Lots of fruit trees, grazing goats, cute cats, and a couple mules. It was an incredibly authentic rural Italian experience that was unmatched at our other stays. To top it all off, we enjoyed a delicious multi-course dinner one night that was prepared by the hosts themselves. The included breakfasts were also quite large and equally delectable. Overall fantastic hospitality. I would definitely return here if I’m back on the...
Read moreWe saw this while driving into Ravello and asked our B&B owner about it. He quickly made us a reservation (which is necessary since the food is prepared fresh). Parking on the road is easy and free, then it is a 5 minute hike to the Agriturismo. Chris speaks perfect English and is a wonderful host. ||||There is no menu and he serves everything fresh and local, if it is not made in-house he gets it nearby. We started our meal at 1pm and slowly made our way though the antipasti plus a fresh pizza, 2 different pastas for the primi, for the secondi we ate veal and pork plus potatoes in the oven and melanzane with sugo, fresh tiramisu, fresh friut, wine, water, lemoncello and a digestivi. The meal ended at 4:30. ||||Go with an appetite and an open mind and you will have what will likely be the best Italian meal...
