Hotel Cristal — Hotel in Sirmione

We stayed here for a week. The hotel is inexpensive, and the rooms were nicely sized (not that small compared to many Italian hotels). The balcony was huge, and ours faced the lake which was really nice, although rush-hour traffic made it difficult to sit outside for too long.||||Although basic, you get all the luxuries you need without paying a premium for being further up the lake. The only downside is that the walls were somewhat thin, and since we were adjacent to the main stairwell we could hear people going up and down the stairs, but it didn't bother us. The breakfast and reception staff were very pleasant to deal with.||||Location-wise, it is situated on the main Verona-Brescia bus line, making it ideal for travelling away from the lake, although the nearest stops are a slow 10 minute walk away. It is also within walking distance of Colombare, from which a cheap shuttle bus will take you to the lovely town of Sirmione and its port (the walk isn't too...

It's fairly priced, the rooms are a little on the small side but if there is just two of you it will be more than fine. The beds are comfy, the bathroom again a tad small and is easy to get the floor wet with the shower. Apart from that the hotel is well placed with load's of parking either directly outside the hotel or underground which has a three spaces or across the road. By the looks of it most rooms have a balcony ours had a great view of the lake. However I'm unsure what the back of the hotel looks at. The breakfasts are brilliant and there is a bar on the ground floor. Another cool feature is a solarium on the roof which has a great view. Finally although we didn't take advantage of it there were free bikes of which there are many just in front of the hotel. All in all great price, features...
