We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Ristorante Pizzeria Al Braciere during our stay in Sirmione, and I can confidently say it was one of the best—and most Celiac-friendly—dining experiences we've ever had in Italy.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the wonderful staff, who were not only attentive and friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable and reassuring when it came to gluten-free options. As someone with Celiac disease, finding a place that takes dietary needs seriously without compromising on taste is a true gift—and Al Braciere delivers this in spades.
What makes this place truly exceptional is that their entire menu—pasta, pizza, and desserts—is available gluten-free. And not just as an afterthought, either. Everything is crafted with care and packed with flavor, to the point where you’d never guess it’s gluten-free. The pizza crust was thin, crispy, and absolutely delicious, while the gluten-free pasta was cooked to perfection with rich, authentic sauces. Every bite felt indulgent and satisfying.
And let’s not forget the desserts—often the most neglected part of a gluten-free meal, but not here. Al Braciere’s dessert menu is a gluten-free dream. We tried several options, and each one was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. It’s rare to have so many safe and decadent choices!
The ambience of the restaurant was warm and relaxed, making it a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy truly great Italian food without worry. Whether you’re gluten-free or not, the quality of the food and the level of care here are second to none.
If you’re visiting Sirmione, do yourself a favor and make a stop at Ristorante Pizzeria Al Braciere. For anyone with Celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, this place is unbelievable—an absolute must-visit where you can enjoy a full Italian dining experience...
Read moreThe menu card had a lot of vage and inaccurate descriptions of the food. It happened twice that we ordered something, looked up online what to expect en then got something totally different. Also, some of the options on the menu are way to small portions... When staff sees a full grown man ordering something, knowing how small the portion is, they can at least inform their customer. Alsof the staff looked away multiple times after seeing us waving till the point we had to stand up and walk to them to order. Staff 1/10, for real it was insane. When we ordered gluten free food, they still gave us normal bread, no sauce with the fries and litterly not a single staff member asked us how our diner was! Not enting here ever again, such a waste given the fact its a gluten...
Read moreAfter reading the reviews I guess it depends on the food you ordered. We had paella, which was a lot for 2 persons and rich in seafood, but it wasn't really good (it looked nice though) . Like you could eat it but that's it. We didn't take the leftovers. Also the carbonara wasn't really mindblowing. We had much better carbonara at another place for about half the price. One waitress was very demotivated, the other two were really kind. One even told us (after we ate) there would be some problems with the kitchen sometimes regarding paella and asked us if there were any problems. I don't know why they don't take it off the menu then.. We wouldn't recommend it for carbonara or paella, especially for their price. Maybe the pizza...
