We stayed in the Hotel Miramar, Sirmione for two weeks B&B in August this year. From start to finish we had a fabulous holiday. The hotel staff are wonderful, friendly & very helpful. They don’t all speak english and really appreciated us trying our few Italian words and even helped us with pronunciation. The hotel itself was perfect. It’s a boutique 3 star hotel, but don’t let that fool you. It has everything you could want. ||We booked a room with large balcony facing the lake and it was fabulous. Lovely to sit and watch the boats go by and the sunsets were amazing. Room spotless with sofa, double bed, mini-bar and bathroom with shower & hairdryer. ||The pool and garden area is extremely clean and well maintained, plenty of sunbeds, umbrellas and trees for shade. Direct access to lake for swimming. ||The bar is open 24 hours, which was great for a quiet drink when you returned to hotel in the evening. |Breakfast was plentiful & tasty, no you’re not getting a big fry up but who wants that, your in ltaly! |There’s a small tasty Lunch menu available, which we had on a few of our pool days. They also do evening menu if you don’t fancy going out. You have to book this during the day, including what food you want. But it was well worth doing so. The dinner was lovely and staff were great. ||Hotel location is perfect. A short walk one way into beautiful Sirmione old town centre. If you go the opposite way, you have a lovely long boardwalk all along the lake to a quaint little harbour with some lovely restaurants (Spiaggia sirmione). ||Sirmione old town is so beautiful but obviously as it was August, very busy. A great choice of restaurants, few shops and loads of shops selling ice cream of every imaginable flavour. We also got the boat over to Desenzano for the day which was also a lovely town, bigger than Sirmione.||Big thanks to Stephen & all the wonderful staff at Hotel Miramar for making our holiday so special. We will definitely return,...

Fabulous hotel, we upgraded to a deluxe balcony room overlooking the lake which was a beautiful view to wake up to. It’s not next level luxe but perfectly adequately furnished in a perfect location 5-10 mins walk to the castle and the ferry dock with exceptionally friendly staff. Plenty of sun loungers in garden and around garden area and a lovely treat to be spaced out in the huge garden area. Breakfast was excellent and the service was very friendly, the selection of cakes was a real treat in the Morning and there is a hot plate with freshly made scrambled eggs ( not the powder mass produced ones) and streaky bacon as part of the plentiful offering. We had lunch twice there and salads were fab. Lugana wine and aperols were our tipple of choice and the bar staff were available anytime. If you stay on the left side of the road towards the old town there is a pink building selling wines and olive oil and that was the best €10 lugana wine we found to buy.|You’re spoilt for choice for restaurants and a couple of standouts were the lakeside Carouso, il girasole, Osteria al torcol, Al boccondivino trattoria.|Castle, catullo grotto, therme spa ( 5 hours), Jamaica beach ( take shoes to wear in water), we took the fast ferry to Limone ( it was more like 2.5hrs not 2 hrs and is all inside with A/C) had an ice cream/spritz for an hourish then the ferry to Malcesine and a few hours there and fast ferry back. |So many beautiful places to see in Lake Garda so hard to fit it all in!! |Taxi transfer cost from Verona airport to hotel miramar was €80 with Sirmione taxis arranged ahead, and then our taxi to Verona city was €100 and we stayed a night there and taxi from Verona city to the airport was €27.|One last tip was use insect repellent day and night you are by the lakeside so bites are plentiful!!...

Just a wonderful place to turn off from the world and relax. The room decor could use an upgrade. But the rest of the hotel is so beautiful, gorgeous marble everywhere, beautiful furniture, cozy places to read a book. The staff was very nice (Hello Valeria!). They welcome my doggie and don't charge extra for parking. I can't say more about the pool, just beautiful and the perfect spot to watch the sunset. comfortable lounges and unlimited sun. A few things I did not like: I booked the hotel looking at Google maps, I though their private deck lead to blue Garda water, but alas, it's murky green water. The swimming pool compensates for that though. The Aperol spritz was weak and flat and we were not served the costumary snacks, our table neighbors were though. Dog owners are segregated to the pool side varanda not allowed to enjoy the lake side for breakfast.

A great hotel overall — definitely worth the price. It’s right on the lakefront, with stunning views, a pool, and a restaurant on site. The location is unbeatable. However, breakfast was a bit odd. There was a strong focus on pastries, with some cold cuts, prosciutto, scrambled eggs, sausages, and fried bacon. But the coffee was truly disappointing — cheap machines, low-quality cappuccino. I was surprised to see this in Italy, a country known for its exceptional coffee. It really took away from the experience.

An absolute delight. Wonderful location so close to the castle on the edge of the lake with a private pier. Our room had a private balcony overlooking looking the lake. Breakfast was lovely with great coffee and a good selection of food, heavy on the sweet pastry as you'd expect in Italy. We had dinner twice in the hotel restaurant; delicious! And a good range of wine. The staff at the hotel were superb. From housekeeping, reception, bar and wait staff; professional and genuine and just lovely.
