Ristorante Canneto — Restaurant in Sirmione

My dining experience at this restaurant was utterly disappointing, especially considering I was there with someone. The starters were bland and uninspiring, and the main courses, particularly the duck, were so overcooked they should have never made it to the table. The risotto was a complete disaster, tasting like something that should have stayed in the kitchen. To top it off, the starter soup arrived without a spoon, leaving us to awkwardly inquire about cutlery. It was emblematic of the overall lack of attention to detail. Despite the promise of a picturesque lakeside view, we were banished to a stuffy interior reminiscent of a sauna. Adding insult to injury, the meals were overpriced for their mediocre quality. This restaurant is part of the hotel (La Paul) that we stayed at for our holiday. We had breakfast here every day, which was an awesome spread in a buffet style. Eggs were cooked fresh if you didn't want scrambled. We had a lunch here and a dinner. Both meals were top draw. Our lunch included a Mixed seafood and Spaghetti. Plus 2 grilled mixed seafood platters with a salad. Dinner we had the large mixed seafood platter with a bowl of fries and an octopus starter, all served together. We also ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio, which was lovely. The staff were really kind, attentive and approachable. If you aren't staying here you don't have to walk up to the tip of Sirmione to get a quality...

It was our last night in Lake Garda and oh boy what a disaster it was! We wanted to have a romantic setting outside, where the restaurant had many tables. At first the waiter told us they would fix a table from outside for us, but after a while it wasn't possible so we were forced to sit inside with old people where the atmosphere was far from romantic. It was like having a dinner at retirement home. The food looked great, but don't let it fool you, it was absolutely disgusting and didn't taske like anything... The only good thing was the wine, but paying a 100€ for a dinner where the only eatable thing was the wine was ridoculous... I do not recommend this...
