Ristorante Pizzeria Erica — Restaurant in Sirmione

Came with a group of people about 10 (including kids). We ordered our food. And felt rushed. Once food was received someone requested to have food cooked more (meat too rare) the waiter took the food and disnt bring it back till everyone else finished. He didnt reheat or anything he just pour more sauce and reserved. Waiter and manager were called to request explanation and they refused to explain or even offer a replacement. They took the food again.

When we went to pay the owner said we must pay for that plate of food even though we didnt get to eat any of it. We asked why they refused to accommodate the customer . He said because "here in italy we cook it like that". After asking for the food back then so er take it home and cook it he refused. Main complaint is the pure refusal to cook the meat the way customer requested. If I'm paying for it and I want it cooked to a certain level then do it. I'd you refuse at least explain why so the customer can decide to choose something else. It is bad because specifically with this dish the waiter was asked prior to original order to explain how its cooked/crusted.

Worse customer experience I've had a a restaurant in a long time. I will never recommend it. The staff was rude from the beginning and then insulted us and threatened to call police. After all we asked was explanation.

I dont know if this behavior is because we are tourist (American) or if its because we are not originally from America as most of us had a Caribbean accent.

I say stay clear of this location if you're not a local and if you are a local, hold them to a higher standard. In all of our stay in Europe we havent seen this blatant disrespect that an average of 6 years between the entire group. You know this experience stood out because of the treatment.

Worse place I've been in...

The waiter who has served us was nice. That was the only good thing that we experienced in this place. Unfortunately we lost our money there. I understand there was a chaos, because there were many customers, but the waiters should have written our order more carefully. I don't know if they did it on purpose or accidentally but they added to our receipt few items that we didn't order. The man with whom we were talking to, in order to explain this mistake had a hard time speaking in English and after a while refused to speak with us any further. Although he gave us back the money for the bottle of water which we didn't order, he refused to refund us for the additional tiramisu and additional hot chocolates, that we never have ordered. I have a tip: I beg You, please hire someone who can speak English...

Popped in after a morning exploring Sirmione with the family for some lunch.

I had the Pike with Polenta which was lovely. Great taste and just the right size for a lunch time portion. The rest of the family went with pizzas (2 regular pizzas, 1 calzone). The pizzas are really good sizes and they're generous with the toppings. Crusts/bases were lovely and thin.

The food and a couple of rounds of soft drinks all came in at around €60 so pretty decent value for the size and quality of the food.

The only negative was the general demeanour of the man who served us. Clearly thought that a warm welcome or a smile isn't needed and made you feel like you were an inconvenience walking into his restaurant!!
