Luna Hotel Sirmione — Hotel in Sirmione

Very good hotel, our room was with balcony to the west and fantastic view. I would have liked some instruction about door mechanic's before, but found out it was very smart indeed. Door handle was at default down and the door was locked. If the handle was horizontal, the door was unlocked and ready to open. If the handle was in upright position, the door was not ready open, but was open on the top, kind of like open window. |The room had strong AC which was on setting 18°C when we arrived which was and too cold both at nights and days when heat was 30°C+ outside, best was the settings on 28/29°C and A- for automatic fan setting. |The breakfast was fantastic. Real orange juice squeezed instantly. Two cappuccino machines, lot's of bakery stuff, some healthy stuff and of course, fresh fruit's of all kinds. We choose to eat inside as the sneaky birds kept stealing from us. |Everything was nice as lobby and helpful friendly hotel manager. Cleaning was top notch and when we did leave, we both regret not to be able to leave tips for the cleaning staff which we both liked. (Our "excuse" was we did have to use our Euros on the travel to Verona as Taxi had responded request for booking as "full booked" day before departure) Sirmione is kind of isolated, but shuttle bus from Sirmione old twon to Colombare via Rome, station 10, was the key to both buses and then trains if...

We have just come back from a week at this lovely hotel. Superbly situated, this small old style hotel is so clean and comfortable! The included breakfast is fresh and plentiful, with a do it yourself fresh orange machine, choice of coffees machine and assorted teas, loads of fresh fruit , freshly baked rolls and pastries and perfectly made scrambled eggs😀||There is a lift and the beds are very comfortable. All the rooms have a balcony, aircon and a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities, which are all the things that make the difference! I have mobility problems so the lift and walk in shower were a godsend! There is a small but pretty garden at the front overlooked by an airy terrace with a view of the lake.The staff are all lovely and friendly and very helpful and the rooms kept beautifully clean and comfortable. There are some very good restaurants all near to the hotel and the Aquaria Spa opposite. Would highly recommend this...
