This was the beach we ended up at, after a little stroll in old town Sirmione.
The beach has a part that you can rent sun beds and beach umbrellas, but it's very expensive (around 10eur for a sun bed), and a part that is free and open. There you can also rent paddle boats etc.
You can bring a towel or blanket, and find a spot either on the beach which is not sandy buy rather stoney, or on the grass area behind the beach (which has shade).
The best thing to do is to go up to the little dock that leads a bit further inside the water (which in early July was very shallow and we could stand) and on that dock lay your towel. Everyone do it, but there is no shade, so make sure the bring plenty...
Read moreNice public beach. Free even though part of it is covered with paid sun loungers and umbrellas. There's a food place & bar, shower and toilet on it. If you're paddleboarding (like us), I recommend going a bit further toward the cliffs for better access or to the end of the molo. The only problem in Sirmione is that the lake bed here is very rocky and you really need to venture far in to dip yourself in the water....
Read moreA good beach but limited space. Get there early if you want to reserve a deck chair & umbrella (20-25 euros for the whole day), otherwise you'll likely sit on the grass.
Food is standard beach fare. Drinks are very good.
I'd definitely recommend hiring one of the paddle boats for an hour or two, we had so much fun on the slide boat. The water is also pretty warm (we went early June).
