Humboldt Luxury Room Taormina — Hotel in Taormina

We really enjoyed this room. It is in a great location. We were greeted very nicely by Antonio. Although we couldn't park close by because you need a resident pass, he let us follow us to the area so we could drop off our belongings and our cat. He helped bring up some of our belongings, so nice! Then he backed our car out of the one way area for us and showed my husband where to park the car in the nearby garage (20€ a day). The room was small, but modern and clean, with the refrigerator stocked with water and juice. There was coffee, tea and the condiments plus some bicotti crackers and jelly. A hot pot and a coffee maker, too. The bathroom was big and nice and there were shampoo, lotion, bath gel, and soap. There is a TV and a clothes stand in the room. The wifi was excellent! We had a huge balcony (clothes rack and table and chairs) overlooking the water and Mt Etna (it had snow on it!). My only issue was the deoderizing scent throughout the corridor and the room. I have breathing issues with perfume scents even though it did smell nice. We stayed 2 nights. On our day of departure, we were greeted and he offered to help bring our belongings downstairs (we were on the 3rd floor). He went above and beyond helpfulness. The location is perfect!! It is situated right in the middle of Taormina, between Porta Messina and Porta Catania. Nothing is far away from this property. All the restaurants and food spots are close to the property. The closest one is just down a few steps from the property, and the furthest one away is about 4-5 minutes far. From our room the view was even more beautiful in real life than I expected. The most beautiful, clean, and well-located accommodation I’ve stayed at in Italy – and excellent value for money. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The entire place was spotless and smelled so amazing that I had to ask what they use for cleaning. I’m really glad we didn’t choose an overpriced hotel.
