A week ago or so I went with some friends to this restaurant. We looked at the menu from the outside along with the outside terrace on the Main Street in Taormina. The food looked good and specialised in seafood and so we expected some really good pasta to accompany this. We were however shocked to taste the complete opposite. Firstly the service was awful it took us 20 minutes for someone to come over and order any drinks even with us trying to wave the waiter down. It then took us even longer to order any food, as the waiters seemed to pay no interests in keeping us entertained. One of my friends then ordered a bruschetta dish which given he is no professional chef was extremely bland and we had made a much better version the previous night. Following this we then received our primi platti. And I can honestly say that it was the worst pasta dish I had ever had. It looked awful there was hardly any aubergine or swordfish in the dish. And then the sauce was extremely thin and not flavourful. I would never recommend this and I hope to never have to see this restaurant again.

We recently visited Taormina as a birthday get away for myself. Unfortunately we were caught in the rain but I still wanted to head out and enjoy some lovely food and drink. We came across this restaurant whilst taking a walk down the Main Street. It caught our attention with a fabulous singer performing within the restaurant. We were greeted kindly and seated comfortably. We ordered house rosé, bruschetta to start, frutti de mare (The shrimp was huge!) and a fresh pasta tomato Ragu as mains, served with a complimentary bread for the table. It was super delicious and a beautiful experience with the live music/ singer playing in the background, especially for my birthday celebration. The bill totalled to roughly €60 for two of us which was in my opinion fairly priced considering the portions were great.

That was amazing! We stopped by, while wandering through the streets of Taormina, and it was definitely worth a visit. While the restaurant was almost completely full, it wasn’t too difficult for us to wait inside until there was a free table outside. The decorations and the overall atmosphere of the place is fascinating - with traditional Sicilian ceramic plates creatively as wall decorations, a lot of other local things all over the place - this restaurant speaks “local gem”. The live music adds the charm. Anyways, other from that, the staff were really friendly and the food was nice. I have nothing to complain in that area either. Overall one of my favorite restaurants of all time, both in the atmosphere and the food.

WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD

I travelled in Taormina and passed by this restaurant just now. (Sep.28th 7:50PM)We have four people. A male elder waiter gave us a table near the performance seat. It was too noisy and we said we would like to wait for another table. We were the first waiting there and others were coming after us. However, the funny things happened. When a table was ready, the waiter and the waitress gave the table to other people coming after us. I told them we were the first in the line, and they replied with Italian instead of English. VERY IMPOLITE. It was really rediculous. I went to different countries and restaurants all over the world. NEVER met a restaurant like this. You don't know come first, serve first???Because we are not Italian, so we were treated like this with a discrimination??? . Suggest you should let your waiters get trained first. Taormina is a city full of tourists. Discrimination sucks. If you don't know who come first, you can see the monitor of...

Below average food, lack of basic service and very expensive, especially bad if you are non Italian speaking. After being given a table we ended up getting our own menus and place was not busy. Ordered a drink each and water which ended up costing 2x more than anywhere else we've been and a meal each which came out much smaller than the Italian speaking tables seemed to be getting when ordering the same. No bread or condiments which were served to others. Small amount of food was tasteless and basic. Charged E56 (2 people) and walked away hungry. English speaking couple next to us ended up leaving without eating as their order didn't arrive despite the Italian table who ordered after them being served their food. Avoid like the plague to prevent severe disappointment as we were only here on a day trip. Unfortunate this place has the attitude they do toward non Italian speakers as everywhere else we've eaten in Italy over 3 weeks has...
