We stayed 2 nights in this hotel for our wedding anniversary (double room, shared bathroom) and we did not enjoy the hotel very much.||The service was minimum: there was no soap or shampoo in the common bathroom. I have demanded shampoo twice and they told me they would provide some but they never did.||Due to some recent law, they are not allowed to serve breakfast. So we were offered some coffee and toast (that we had to grill ourselves) and supermarket croissant ... Retrospectively I wish we had asked for reimbursement and had enjoyed a coffee from one of the many perfect italian coffee shops.||When we arrived, our bedroom cover was dirty (old and stained) and the room was full of mosquitos. Someone must have left the window and light opened at the same time. Our bedroom was located next to the reception. We were woken up at 8:45 am on both saturday and sunday by the hotel landlord and lady chatting with the clients. There are only 3/4 rooms, so I would say the odd of getting this room are quite important. I would recommend to ask for another one (the other double / shared bathroom seemed further away from the noise). Overall, you could still hear people from one room to the other.||I felt like the price was not worth the...
Read moreWe were buzzed into the building and given keys and directions to our room by someone on her way out for the day. That was the only face time with the staff we had by the second morning of our stay. With breakfast served at 9AM, most active travelers would already be out and about seeing the plethora of sights of this unique city. My girls are sleeping in this morning to partake of their "breakfast". ||Our traveling trio found the room and bathroom (tiled bathroom with toilet, bidet, corner shower and sink) to be clean and perfectly adequate for our sleeping and bathing needs. We did have to help ourselves to a sheet, pillow and pillow case to complete the set up of the single bed in our bedroom and an additional towel so that each of us would have a towel. It was in a nice quiet neiborhood for sleeping. We chose a Venice B&B expecting to benefit from a local perspective, knowledge and advice about how to get the most out of our visit to the city. We have had none of that. To be truthful, we have had a better B&B experience at a Hampton...
Read moreAs some other users have shared: our contact person was uncontactable when we arrived and we had to wait 30mins outside before we were let in remotely. Even though we had already communicated our arrival time prior.
Communication was not the clearest as we had a few doors to get through before our actual room. We also had to leave the tax money somewhere to be collected the next day.
Wifi was non-existent.
Rooms were generally clean and comfortable but old. There was a musky smell when we first entered. The bathroom stall had some black stains on the doors. The shared areas like the terrace had crumbs of food left behind.
Location is really the only thing this place has going for it. Very accessible by foot and vaporetto, close to many attractions.
It's a reasonable option if you're not fussy and just need a convenient place to stay but overall I would not recommend...
