Uncomfortable experience. It was raining and we were hungry and tired and cold. We found ourselves here and were looking forward to a good meal and welcoming people. But before we were even able to enter the owner rudely refused to let us in unless we ordered one meal and one drink per person which we had planned but he somehow assumed we wouldn’t? He repeated several times that we were not allowed to share and as we ordered he kept belligerently counting to tell us if our order was too low for his requirements. He did this with others too and several people left as a result. We decided to stay and just keep our heads down. The food was good but the service stayed bad. We used the bathroom and got dirty looks and comments about “Americans” and the bathrooms were filthy. Made me wonder about the kitchen. We are and left quickly as the owner pushed past us to leave too. Worst experience. Perhaps this is just their rainy day attitude but I don’t think it’s worth this even on...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this incredible Italian restaurant during our stay in Venice, and it turned out to be one of the best meals of our trip! The ambiance was warm and authentic, tucked away on a quiet street just far enough from the tourist crowds.
We started with the burrata and prosciutto — so fresh and flavorful. For mains, the seafood pasta was absolutely divine — perfectly cooked al dente with fresh clams and a rich, garlicky sauce. The risotto was equally impressive, creamy and full of depth. And don’t even get me started on the tiramisu — light, fluffy, and not too sweet. Perfection.
The service was impeccable: Aeres was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food. Our server even recommended a local wine that paired perfectly with our dishes.
If you’re looking for an authentic Venetian dining experience with incredible food and charming service, this place is a must. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in...
Read moreCaught in rain during our visit to Venice and wanted to catch a bite before catching the train . Service was disgusting . Waiter even tell lie by saying that coperto mean tax. Ha ha. It’s only 15 euro and you have to lie when I had my cash tips ready L,intending to pass you. Do beware of these guys adding tips into the bill unlike all other restaurants though. Food was not up to standard , chicken meat is dry. Tourist better ask how much they want to add to your bills under Coperto . They claim it’s tax ha ha. Useless waiters so afraid of diners not wanting to tips them due to their attitude and services that they forced you to whether you like it or not. I’m glad I’m smart enough to keep my 20 euro cash tips knowing what they are up to. Oh ya they added mosquitoes to the menu as well! Full of it. It’s free of charge and they do not bill it under...
