It felt so indulgent to book one of the nicer rooms in this hotel, but I couldn’t stop drooling over the view! With some careful planning I found nightly rates cheaper the second half of our trip, and used Capital One points to cover most of the price difference. It was so worth it - we were in awe and it felt truly magical to celebrate 5 years of marriage 🥹 #venice #italy #italytravel #anniversary #traveltiktok #foryourpage #palazzobarocci #luxurytravel #spoiled

Not a 4 star hotel. Overall nice stay. It was only one night. If it were longer we would have been very disappointed. Rooms are clean. Location is excellent. Beware of booking through Expedia if booking a Superior Double. Not superior at all. I understood I would be getting a garden or street view but didn’t expect a view of a wall. Thermostat digital read out was not readable. Old mattress springs “popped” when you moved. Shower almost flooded. Had to stop it before it flowed over. Let it drain and restart. You could hear other rooms moving the chairs in the rooms on the terrazzo floors. (Get chair leg feet covers!) Room was tiny which is fine, but for almost $600 a night, not a great value. The roof top “bar“ was hype. Requires a reservation because there are only about 8 two-tops. Great sunset views but the menu was limited to very expensive bottles of wine. €20+ glasses of wine. Not common in Italy. 5 signature cocktails for €22 each and mostly liqueurs not liquor. Stale crisps included. The “bar” is actually a hotel room #303. You walk in and there are card tables with table cloths with bottles and glasses. Not a bar. Looked like a house party. Don’t expect to check in before 3pm. Staff was very helpful. Major potential with this hotel. Unfortunately just relying on location and guaranteed tourists.

I stayed in that hotel from 23/06 1 night. I arrived at the hotel approx. 11pm and was kicked off by the receptionist due to no mask with me. I forgot my mask in the car(30 min away by walk). As there is 5* star hotel, I ask to provide a mask but He said that they do not provide a mask and ask me to move from the hotel and wait outside. Finally after 15 min waiting outside He gave me a mask and allowed me to go in. Dear hotel, you can add only 0.50-1.00 euro to the room cost and provide mask to guests, it's so easy and service level will growing up. Also, receptionist told me that 50% room is sold, then I ask for later check out(1pm) but He told me that I must leave 11am. One more thing, I book this hotel through British Airways web site to be able to earn British Airways airmiles but they report to BA that I booking has been cancelled even I stay there for 1 night from 11pm ti 11am next day. Room is also too small but I think that it's normal for Venice.I stayed in part channel view room. I can not recommend this hotel.

July 2019, I had finally saved enough money to have my dream vacation in Italy for my anniversary and Birthday. Fast forward to March 2nd 2020, we board our plane and we're super excited to finally be on our way. We know there is a slight chance of some disruptions to our trip but Costco will not change our reservations because it was only a level 3. We arrive in Rome, get screened and off we go to start our next 14 days in Paradise aka Rome, Florence and Venice. Our 1st leg, Rome was amazing. Saw almost everything. Went to Naples and Pompeii (maybe 50 ppl at Pompeii) Next Florence, the museums closed the day we got there but our hotel was amazing NH Collection Firenze Porta Rossa We were still able to go to a few restaurants and Café. Then Italy imposed the closure, which we agreed with. Now is when things start getting difficult. We arrive to the train station for our ride to Venice. Train was canceled due to not enough passengers. Next train to arrive in the morning hours, cool. While waiting, text from Delta, our flight (in 4 days) has been canceled... Oh no!! OK, just make it to Venice and we'll figure it out. Get to our beautiful hotel, NH Collection Venezia Palazzo Barocci I cannot say enough about the amazing staff. We were the only ones there, we were upgraded to the best suite and had our very own staff lol. The restaurant was closed but we had our own chef 😊😊 Fast forward to the next day. I spend 6 hours on the phone with Costco, Delta and KLM trying to get a flight home. Airlines are folding, airports are empty and I'm a little bit scared but we're in Venice, so we'll make the best of. Our amazing staff bring us a beautiful breakfast with a bottle of Prosecco, anniversary chocolates and cookies. THEN, we get a call. Come down to the front desk. It's never good when you get called to the principals office. We meet with the staff and the manager... "the government made a new statement. As of midnight last night, we MUST close ALL the hotels" I immediately break down and start crying, What do you mean we have to leave? Where are we to go? The train station is closed, our flight is tomorrow night, they don't even know if the airport will stay open. The staff immediately jumped on their computers and started figuring things out. Worst-case scenario, you can stay at my house, said one of the girls. Just then AIR FRANCE updates... You're flight has been changed, you leave in 5 hours!!! The manager gets us a private boat and we're on our way to Marco Polo Airport. Our driver says in all his life, father's life or Grandfather's life, he has NEVER seen this. We give him a hefty tip and express our deepest gratitude for his time. Airport was definitely a Zombie land, maybe 40 people, total. We have a bit of difficulty with the airlines canceling our connections but we finally figure it out and we board the plane heading to Paris. We'll be traveling for more than 26 hours but I can't express how happy we were when the tires left the runway. We finally made it home (Portland Oregon) last night, our luggage hasn't arrived yet but we're ok with that right now. I know that we probably won't be able to make it to Italy again but I wanted to express our DEEPEST GRATITUDE to all the wonderful people who helped us and made our trip, the best it could in a very difficult situation. Thank you 😘😘😘...

Very, very good location. Water taxi stand is literally in front of the hotel door. One can take the water taxi from airport or train station from the same stop. Within walking distance (10-15mins max) to all key areas within venice.

Provided umbrellas for use - awesome because it was raining non stop and we were glad to have the umbrellas for use.

Room was not very good. As ac cannot be turned on, room was stuffy and had a very musky smell. Bed was hard and the sheets were rough. The tv was the ancient old tv and only had non english/mandarin channels. Lifts were really small and felt so old. Room space was very small too. I didn’t sleep well.

Staff was polite but not the warm and helpful service i would have liked as a tourist.

E.g. we arrived very late at 9pm and had no drinking water at all. When we asked where we can find a supermarket to buy water the staff only said oh no all closed already. But didn’t tell us we can actually buy water from them. Would have been nicer if they gave us this option too. :p

Also, when i first tapped the card at the door, and tried to turn the knob at the door, the door couldn’t be opened. So i went down to look for the staff and he merely said oh there is nothing wrong with the card, just try again. I asked if he could follow me to help but he kept saying no there is no need and no problem with the card. Upon a few probes he said, just push the door when u hear the buzzing sound. That’s how i learnt that the door was to be opened this way.

When we asked how to get to the train station, he immediately offered the option of them booking a water taxi for us at 65 euros. But did not tell us that there was an option of taking public water taxi easily from the door of the hotel at 9.5 euros per pax.

But they did recommend a fantastic restaurant - guna. Best meal i had in italy in...

Amazing Hotel I recently had the pleasure of staying at Venezia Palazzo Barocci, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. Situated in a perfect location, this beautiful hotel offers not only stunning views but also exceptional service that made my stay truly memorable.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by the friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure I had a fantastic experience. Not only did they warmly welcome me, but they also took the time to provide me with a map and guide detailing all the best locations, restaurants, and attractions in the area. Their personalised attention and willingness to assist set the tone for the rest of my stay.

One of the highlights of my visit was the upgrade to a premier room. The spacious and beautifully appointed accommodations instantly made me feel at home. From the elegant decor to the comfortable amenities, every detail was thoughtfully curated to enhance my comfort and enjoyment.

Throughout my stay, I found the hotel to be well maintained, with attention to cleanliness and hygiene evident in every corner. The ambiance was serene and inviting, offering a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city outside.

In addition to the excellent accommodations, I was thoroughly impressed by the hotel's convenient location. Situated in the heart of Venice on grand canal, it provided easy access to a myriad of attractions, allowing me to explore the city with ease.

Overall, my experience at Venezia Palazzo Barocci was nothing short of exceptional. From the perfect location to the beautiful accommodations and attentive staff, every aspect of my stay exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and luxurious...
