Situated a 5 minute walk from the main part of Verona, it's in a great location for all tourist activities. It's quite a walk to the station though, and a taxi is a must.||We were immediately made to feel welcome by Luca, who is a great host and who will do anything to help. He sat us down after we got settled in and gave us a map, went through all of Verona's attractions and the best areas to eat in etc. He also kindly offered his phone number should we have needed his help. He also phoned a taxi for us when we wanted to leave for the train station - a nice touch.||Our room was nice and clean and well furnished, and he asked us what we'd need for our stay - towels, if we wanted the sheets changing daily (we were only there for two nights so didn't need anything). The only criticism was the absence of air con - as we were travelling in July it was more than 30 degrees during the day, and not a great deal less at night. Even with shutters down during the day and windows wide open at night it was uncomfortably hot to sleep in.||Breakfast was an excellent spread, it was a typical european breakfast and even had swiss rolls! ||WiFi was excellent, and the bathroom was perfectly clean and functional. It was shared with the one other room in the B&B, though this didn't affect us at all.||Overall, the perfect place to stay and see Verona, and all at a very cheap price. It is definitely Luca's hospitality that sets it apart from other places we stayed at, and made our time...
Read moreI stayed here with family last summer. This was the only place I could find close to the Verona Arena that wasn't exuberantly expensive. We booked both rooms in the B&B, but as it turned out we still had to share the apartment with Luca who lived there. Starting from our booking and check in to our check out, our interactions with him were more or less lost in translation, but we managed to understand each other at the end. ||||Luca had a lot of strict rules due to his negative experiences with cheap backpackers in the past. At the same time he doesn't seem to follow the right avenues to attract other types of travellers. I recommend that he updates his info (especially his e-mail address!) on TripAdvisor, and adds his B&B to sites such as Expedia, Booking.com etc., which are more appropriate for his place as opposed to Hostel World. This way he will attract more families than backpackers/single travellers. I also suggest that he shouldn't smoke on the balcony especially if his guests are non-smokers. ||||I originally left this review on Hostel World, but their review categories were ambiguous and a lot of information I wanted to pass...
Read moreWe stayed for one night during our brief visit to Verona and it was certainly the best decision we made. Luca made us feel extremely welcome and he even prepared breakfast for us, despite our rush to the airport! He accommodated for our needs and because it was his house, we experienced a more romantic and authentic aspect to Verona which other hotels would not have offered. The room was well-decorated and clean, giving a fresh and charming feel to our stay. The location was close to major sights and Luca recommended dining by the river, which was only 10-15 mins walk away. If you are looking for somewhere to stay on a budget, look...
