This place looks wonderful. So why one star? Unfortunately for us we arrived in Verona on a Sunday afternoon and had to leave by Tuesday morning. We were amazed to find that every single museum and institution of genuine interest and worth in this city is closed on Mondays. This museum is closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday - so what are the chances of seeing it? In our brief afternoon here we managed to visit the magnificent arena and the wonderful Roman Theatre and its archaeological museum. We missed this one. A terrible disappointment. What a shame. It is a very poor way to promote your valuable heritage by making these places all close on the same day. Why not have some that close on another day? In the meantime, that stupid, revolting “House of Juliette”, a place based on nothing is open every day. Why? Promote what is true and real about your amazing, beautiful city - and give visitors a...

As an archaeology student, I’ve visited the Verona National Archaeological Museum three times, and each visit has been rewarding! Entry is free for archaeology students, making it accessible and perfect for deepening knowledge. The exhibits are beautifully curated, covering prehistoric to Roman history, and the staff is knowledgeable and welcoming. Highly recommend for all history...

Great museum if you're or have visited the Outzi exhibit in Bolzano and want more context. The Neanderthal artifacts are incredible, and the graveside finds make up the bulk of the collection. For English speakers, this is a great value as all relevant information is conveyed in a detailed but comprehensible manner. P.S for Americans, they've got gatorade!
