It was my first time in Italy and this Casa did not disappoint. I booked it for a couple of nights prior to moving into the annexed Hotel Firenze with a friend (as the hotel had no availability for all days) and I wasn’t sure what to expect.||I was pleasantly surprised by this lovely flat. It was very spacious. It had a king size bed, cupboard, open plan kitchen with mini fridge and dining table, as well as a large sofa. So many seating areas for a flat for one!||Best of all were the blackout blinds! The hotel was also quiet so you’d get a guaranteed good night sleep despite the sun, and of course with the air conditioning to make it nice and cool despite the scorching temperatures.||The bathroom had a bidet and provided toiletries including body lotion. The shower had a jacuzzi and ‘steam’ option, which sounded and looked interesting but I didn’t get the chance to try it out and just used the standard shower option (which was easy to operate despite all the buttons/dials).||Breakfast was excellent with a selection of cold and hot foods, with cheese, cold meats, cereals, bread, pastries, pies, yogurt, jams & syrups, honey with honeycomb and coffee in many forms from a machine. Staff were wonderful and helped take my breakfast to the sunny seating area at the front of the hotel, despite the breakfast room being underground.||The location is also excellent; less than a 10 minute walk from the Verona Porta Nuova (where you can get the AEROBUS from the Valerio Catullo airport) and a similar walking distance to the Piazza Bra and arena. Many other sites and attractions are also nearby. You could walk to anything from there, even some of the further locations like the Giardino Giusti are only about half an hour walk away.||Overall, highly rated and recommended. I would stay there again; even more so if travelling with 1-2 friends, or...
Read moreWe actually ended up checking into this accommodation after being let down with our original booking due the place being closed, which we were not aware of until we arrived. Residence Casa Cavallino was arranged for us at late notice courtesy of Expedia and what a treat it was! We were checked in efficiently given our late arrival and were very impressed with the rooms we were given in the block next door to the main Hotel Firenze. ||The block itself is very well maintained with me and my fiancé in a 1 bedroom apartment complete with lounge area, kitchen and dining area, small balcony off the bedroom and very well equipped bathroom.. complete with a whirlpool bath! My father was next door in a similarly well appointed apartment. All very clean, with everything you would want for s comfortable stay.||Location was pretty much perfect being a 5-10 minute walk to the main piazza bar area on 1 direction and 5-10 minute walk the opposite direction to the main bus and train station which provides great access to the airport and the many other places of interest in the region.||Breakfast was next door in the smart Hotel Firenze and that was also very good, plenty of options available and kept well stocked. The staff were also very pleasant and helpful.||Would strongly recommend this accommodation to other visitors to Verona and I very much hope we are able to return again...
Read moreWe spent several nights here in a family suite and really enjoyed it. I was a little worried with only a few reviews but the hotel is somehow affiliated with the Best Western that is a few doors down - that’s where we checked in and enjoyed breakfast daily. The room was clean and comfortable. We chose the location because we had a couple of day trips planned and it’s a short walk to the train station. It’s about halfway between the main area of Verona and the train station, but for us that was perfect. I’m only giving it 4 stars because it was very expensive when we were traveling over Christmas (more expensive than the Waldorf in Rome!) - if the rate had been more reasonable it certainly would have warranted 5 stars. I would stay here again and recommend...
