We really enjoyed our stay here! The best things about the hotel: its location is great, a short walk, and you are in the arena/commercial streets/Castelvecchio, and it was also at walking distance from the train station. There are also some good restaurants around, so we were able to get dinner without going far, which was great after a whole day walking around. Other great points are the attention, as their staff is very friendly; and the breakfast, which we only got in the last morning, and we regretted the decision, because it was a great value for money. The hotel looks really nice, and the shower of our room was amazing.
Things to improve: we could hear noises coming from outside the room. We were lucky and there wasn't a lot of noise during the nights there, but for example we could hear a baby crying in other room, and people going down the stairs (talking while doing this, or stepping fast, and hence, making noise), which happened mostly in the morning, earlier than the time we planned to wake up. Not the worst hotel regarding noise that we stayed in, but also definitely not the best. The room was also hot, the air conditioner would make like a fan effect (even though it did not look like a fan), so we think the hotel has a central system, and being spring it was not set at a low temperature, which was a shame because it really was hot already in Verona during our stay. A minor issue of this hotel is that the entrance is confusing. It has automatic doors that open if you get really close to them, and from outside you can't see the desk with the staff, so we got confused at first, we thought that was not the entrance, and we kept looking for one. We later saw other people being...
Read moreWe stayed in this hotel in July 25. We arrived at the reception and since we had booked a slot in the car park i gave my key to the receptionist. They parked it||We discovered the room which is ok but nothing outstanding, no decoration.||The breakfast is cheap with the selection of the products and they give the impression of quantity by reflecting the food on display in a mirror. It is designed for groups who attend the breakfast room.||The location of the hotel is ideal and walking distance from the city center||The following morning the lady handled me the key and i got to discover the car park and my car two floors down. The design is totally obsolete for today’s car and remains suitable for Fiat Panda or 500. The slope are so steep, the angles so small that i needed to go backward and forward to put my car in the right angle… Arrived at the top i inspected my car and found out that the front was damaged. ||So i went to the receptionist and she was not surprised. She came out, took some pictures and told me that they will convey my request to their insurance. We left confident that they would do so. ||I received a final answer after asking twice how was their procedure? The message says that i did the damage to my car while going up. The manager said that i could be in good faith but maybe i did not realised that i did this to my front bumper… you imagine scratching your car full of detectors and radars and not realising it ?||I wrote back ||I received no answer.||The e mails are not signed. I would expect to be able to reach a manager but total lack of courage from their side.||How shall we call this total lack of responsability when paying an extra charge...
Read moreThe second time I have stayed in this hotel, the previous time being in 2018 at which time we had one of our sons with us and we were allocated a family suite in the Aparthotel at the rear. On this occasion it as just my wife and myself and we were given a regular double room on the 1st floor. ||The room was not huge but it was large enough and adequate for the purpose. The bed was comfortable, the air-conditioning was excellent, so much so that we had to raise the temperature and fan speed on one evening. Superb A/C!||To get to the hotel from the main railway station took maybe 15 minutes on foot pulling wheeled baggage. It's easy to find. It is also only a five minute walk to the main arena/tourist area.||Staff were lovely throughout, helpful and everything done with a smile. We arrived at least two hours earlier than usual check-in and yet they had a room ready for us.||Breakfast is not the best we've ever had but again, it is clean, tasty and there is a variety. Cold meats, cheese, croissants, yoghurts, breads, pastries and boiled eggs. ||It was good to see that this hotel has not declined in quality over the five year period but on the contrary represents the same great value for money, friendly staff as before. ||Would be stay a third time at this hotel?...
